The Pay Per View numbers for Floyd Mayweather Jr vs Ricky Hatton have been made public and the end result is a huge success. According to HBO PPV's Mark Taffet, the fight which took place on Dec. 8 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas garnered an outstanding 850,000 domestic pay-per-view buys, which raked in $47 million in television revenue.

According to Dan Rafael of ESPN, the May 2nd bout between boxing superstars Ricky Hatton and Manny Pacquiao at the MGM Grand, was a huge success in terms of PPV buys, selling an estimated 825,000 domestic PPV (Pay per view) buys for the fight and it could go as high as 850,000, bringing in nearly fifty million. Rafael says that the PPV numbers in England could reach one million buys. The numbers are incredible when you look at the timing, which is coming with the economy in the tank and many people out of work

 

PBF-Hatton sold more buys in England than Pac-Hatton did. It's already been posted numerous times. Why bother with a debate you know you can't win?:-(

 

The original estimate for Floyd/Hatton was 850k. The fight ended up doing over 900k. The fight did over 1 mill in England. Pac/Hatton did about 900k in the states and 350k in England.

 

According to USA Today, PPV buys for the mega fight billed between Filipino Manny Pacquaio and England’s Ricky Hatton could reach 2 Million buys.
If that is the case, $100 Million will be distributed between HBO and both of the fighters.
Once HBO receives its cut, Pacquiao is rumored to receive 52% of the revenues while Hatton will get 48%.
Pacquiao was paid $12 Million for his destruction of Hatton in two rounds or about $2 Million per minute. Hatton was paid $8 Million
“We knew that according to our predictions, PPV business was going to be a homerun. We expected between 1.6 Million and 2 Million,” Bob Arum, President of Top Rank and lead promoter of the night stated.

if Floyd is the draw we will see what his numbers look like vs what Mannys look like both have big fights and there is no reason we should cherry pick the Pac JMM fight and compair it to that of FMJ JMM, if Floyd cant sell he just cant admit it he isnt the ****ing draw that is clear

Mayweather didn't even fight last year. How the hell could he be on the list if he didn't even fight?
