I'm not denying anything, just stating the obvious. Pacquiao was charging in recklessly and was clearly timed for that punch. That's what happened, he didn't see it coming nor did he expect it. That's what ended the bout, foot stepping didn't set anything up nor did it mess anything either, he was being timed shortly before that happened anyway. Pacquiao clearly thought he had Marquez troubled, which he clearly did, and got reckless about it only to pay the price by taking a punch he didn't expect cold and clean. What happened here is boxing and positioning is a huge part of it.

Exactly and Marquez, a first class counter puncher, proved he's not going to let a mistake like that slip through unpunished. End of discussion.

Bogo , this is simple physics here. There's a big difference between charging forward with your feet under you, and charging forward and completely losing balance and then getting punched. Pac was already in forward motion but losing his balance prevented him from controlling or blunting that motion. You can't brace yourself for impact if you have no balance. Imagine running forward into a hard object , and then doing it WHILE losing your balance and falling onto it. This isn't rocket science, it's common sense. Your incredibly naive or in denial if you think this doesnt have a significant effect - especially in something like boxing where every inch / or split second can make all the difference. Things like this happen all the time in the sport.

I'm agreeing with pretty much everything you said. I don't know what were arguing about here. I never said the trip is what caused the KO or it was the only factor leading to the KO. I only said it was a factor.

There's a lot of unnecessary butt hurt going on in this thread from Marquez fans.

Lol@ a ******* talking about Butthurt after the last few weeks.

Like I said, the semantics of ANY KO Punch can be argued. Any amount of variables can happen, or not happen to influence a fight's ending. All that matters is Pacquiao was KTFO in 6.

Ok so I guess we both agree there are multiple factors that can contribute to a KO. Glad we're arguing about nothing. :good

The feet most certainly caused the KO, as Pacquiao otherwise has always demonstrated impeccable balance and control when coming in on his opponents.

Ya your butthurt. I've said at least twice in this thread that Marquez timed and set up a perfect punch, and that Pac tripping onto it was only a factor of that. Que Marquez fan's being all defensive and losing there ****.

I think it's pretty clear from that video that JMM KO'd the Mexicutioner with a disgracefully illegal rabbit punch to the right kidney.

Without that final foul act, Pac was merely headed for a flash knockdown.

That little pish-drinker has tricks even BHop would be proud of.

If it's clever and not illegal then it can only add to Marquez's greatness. Fact of the matter is due to their styles they both step on each other's foot at times. Therefore it becomes a moot point. You can't accuse only one guy of trying to gain a somewhat unfair advantage because Pac could have been doing it deliberately as well.
