sure Mayweather sells more ppvs when he fights, but he fights once every two years. Pac fights several times a year and sells close to what May sells. So collectively Pac out sells May with ppv buys every year...

 

I don't understand why anyone would agree with this. The day his career is in the toilet is the day folks stop talking about him or fighters stop wanting to fight him. Roach says he's off the P4P charts, but everyone still talks about their potential matchup as the biggest fight in boxing. Look at Roy Jones if you want to see someone whose career was once great but is now ready to be flushed.

 

How can you prove this? Or is it just your opinion?

Why? It's one or the other. It's very hard to find a less risk high reward fight that's why fighting less is ideal for Floyd. Unlike Pac who fights more frequently the possible lucrative money opponents gets scarcer. If Floyd wanted to maintain his PPV status and fight often like Pacquiao he would have to fight either Cotto, Martinez, etc where he has a chance to lose.

What I'm saying is you really can't rely so much on per fight numbers, per year is the proper barometer.

I'm not sure about the boxing parallels, but it is likely that less people would watch a bi-annual event compared to an annual event IMO.

 

Hes outsold Pac on all common opponents, all of them.
