Hope you don't work in TV programming anytime.

Every evidence and example shows the exact opposite. And this is also generally true of not just TV.

Yes, I work in TV and film.

But to be clear - I am also not saying PBF fighting more will decrease his viewership. That is possible for many reasons. But the idea that 2 Superbowls will have the same viewership is utterly silly.

:deal ...it's obvious that the fewer, the bigger it can be made and the more money that you charge and therefore make in return.

The other poster mentioned football as an example. Actually football can attract big crowds of 70 000 + fans per game because they only have 8 regular season games. If they for instance would have many more games at home per year like in other major team sports, the average per game most likely would drop..it's common sense.

I also work in TV, worked with a number of companies over the years including the likes of Endemol, Ricochet and I am currently at Tiger Aspect.

Having worked on both CBB and BB in the same year, the majority of the time the viewing figures weren't that far off at all. The reason why I'm stating this example was because at the time when CBB was pitched, Channel 4 was worried that the public would have had enough of watching one dose of reality contestants only to be faced with another.

The superbowl example was not a good example for the previous poster to use, as the event is marketed as a once a year event, boxers are not.

He made a bad example. I bet the twice a year wouldn't make a significant difference. Try four times a year, or better yet eight. It wouldn't be as big. Not all people have the time or resources for all of them. Why do you think they make careful decisions on when to stage events like these.

At this point I don't think there is any doubt that Manny is more relevant in boxing. He's active. The true test will be when and if Floyd fights again, what are his numbers then? Will they take a big dip from the last fight, or will they remain close to the same, then we can truly judge if he's still as relevant in the sport as he once way, the longer he stays away and gets in trouble and runs his mouth, the more he will not be as popular when he finally does fight. His actions show he is now the one riding the coat tails of Pac, if he announces his next fight on Saturday that will be further proof.

Team PAC should just announce live after the fight 'we'll do the tests, 50/50 split, your move floyd!'

**** Mayweather! Sucks for his fans.. dude only fights like twice every 3 years LMAO....

    Waste of talent...

He could have easily taken out Margo/Cotto/PAC with his skills...

but he's such a scared ducker he rather retire and talk ****, hide behind his money and ego....

At least for the *******s their hero fights twice a year... no wonder he has so many fans no matter if they are shitty fights... he is still active.

FMJ surfaced to say the SAME thing he has ALWAYS been saying. Pac won't drug test.

If Pac is willing to test please, PLEASE! Pac, Roach, Arum, and Koncz need to get on every single media outlet and say they are willing to do FROSDT. Throw this hot potato right back to Mayweather.

The problem is... They won't. The question is... Why? The answer is... Pac won't drug test.
