This is a good strategy in the fight build up, usually you don't have trainer being so outspoken. I just seen a brief Quote from Freddie Roach and he said that Floyd should've waited to sign with Marquez till after the Pacquiao v Hatton fight ... He later said there is nothing fun about watching two counter punchers in the ring waiting for someone to make a move. With Roach's personality and the personality of the Mayweather's this should be good drama for this fight and if no one gets in the way (Bob Arum) then this should make for a record breaking night as far as boxing stats goes. Thoughts?
Have to agree, there's too much drama already and it's not even signed yet. Think it became obvious they will fight the winner of Marquez/Mayweather when Roach said he wants Pac to fight a decent but not major fight next to stay active and wait for the winner of this one.
Roger: "It's like an OJ trial right here.... somebody is innocent and it sure aint me, haahaahaha" Roger: "Why do Bill Gates still make dem motherfohcking computas?" :happy
you'll probably see big floyd with them too... they're now one big happy family. i guess adversity (fighting jmm and pac) does that to ppl.
Arum is hinting at Cotto, Cotto is better off focusing on Clottey and a rematch with Mosley after it should be the best choice. Fighting Valero isn't a bad tune-up choice though he won't get anything out of it as Valero will be iced within 3 rounds at most if not round 1, not really "stay active" fight. A fight with Bradley should be good in my opinion, at least Bradley will take him a few rounds and offer the WBC/WBO titles.
