    On fighting Margarito;

    "[Margarito] has no license. They said we could fight in Mexico but that's not going to happen. That would be a real bad move for Manny Pacquiao - to slap the commissions in the face. I'm thinking about it and the number one contender in my mind right now is Valero,"

    On fighting Valero;

    "Valero is licensed in Texas. If we do Valero there, we could sell out the whole place. You don't have to close half of it down. I've been watching him a little bit. I know he's a big puncher. He's a southpaw and does pose some difficulties. He's better than just a guy who could punch but I think that's the best marketable fight out there for us."

    On fighting Bradley or Alexander;

    "Once they start selling tickets, and we could get them on pay-per-view and start making money - [then] we'll fight those guys,"

    On fighting Marquez again;

    "Personally, that's the fight I want. Nacho [Beristain] is a good trainer and we're competitive and I'd love for Manny to knock him [Marquez] out,"

    Roach wants a relatively easy fight for Manny with Marquez.

    How time flies. Just last year, JMM and Pac were head-to-head and believed to be evenly matched. Now, Pac is accused of taking an easy fight if he fights JMM again.

    Anything other than the winner of Mosley/Mayweather would not be acceptable in the eyes of true boxing fans.

    You won't get any disagreement from me. I kind-of expected better from Manny, though, given his recent history.

    I think we need to get rid of the super- and junior- weight divisions, to be honest. With 4+ belts and so many divisions, it makes it way too easy to 'navigate' a course where you look as impressive as possible while avoiding a lot of dangerous opponents. This isn't a comment on Pac or Floyd, just the state of boxing in general. Say what you like about the genuine heavies, but at least they can't indulge in this practise.

    He was asked about Pac fighting those guys had the guy asked him about Floyd or Mosley he probably would say he want to fight them too.

    BTW this is Roach we are talking about if tomorrow you ask him about the same guys you will probably get different answers.

    hmmm i would hope that if floyd dosent pan out- that he fights mosely anyway- if shane is competitive with floyd. if not then another welter- such as berto would be good, or yeah- bradley or alexander.

    if a stay busy fight is what theyre after then valero or collazo is ok i guess- but only as a stay busy fight- not as a big event.
