Roach: GGG is a cherry picker and a protected fighter

I always liked Freddie Roach, and still think he is great trainer. He has latley started talking a bit to much trash, I dont know if it to drum up fights or he is just being bitter.

hes made some decent defences has GGG, there are names there, but not enough decent ones for someone who is supposed to be in double figures defences now. Lets hope he steps it up and keeps it at the Geale type level now as a baseline, instead of the Geale level being his absolute best. Lets get him in the ring with the bigwigs, the real elites. lets see some proper unifying instead of pansying around with unifying with an unknown title.

lets not have him end up like calzaghe who left everything till his last fight - actually that's a bit extreme, hes surpassed calzaghe of the same age already. calzaghe was king of the little league, bug GGG can be a real elite in the big league.

 

I'm still puzzled at the GGG is cherry picking remark. He is clearly the best Middleweight out there and has fought the best comp. I mean, who else is there in the Middles that could give him a serious test? He's pretty much blitz everyone and there is no one stand out that would beat him.

As for Cotto, top fighter but he's no Middle. Once he steps into the ring with GGG, then I can see a demolition, unless Cotto decides to go on his bike, then it'll be a late TKO or UD.

 

So you're suggesting that his resume is top notch?, what for?. Beating Geale and Mathew Jr.(or whatever)?. Lay off the anti-depressants and handle reality the normal way. GGG has only one win worth mentioning and that's Murray. All the rest are absolute joke opposition. How in the hell can anyone normal claim he has a good resume when he goes in as a 100/1 favorite against these guys or at the very least 20/1?. You losers are absolute mental fruits.

Quillin and anti-white?, the hell?. Is every GGG fan mentally abnormal?.

 

The standards I use is common sense and common knowledge of the sport which inevitably reveals who's actually good or not. If I cared about media hype I wouldn't have praised Murray as an opponent and bashed on GGG's illogical hype when he only has one big win. Sure, you can add Geale as a solid opponent too, I wouldn't argue otherwise there because he is a good opponent.

Top 10 Middleweights or not is really irrelevant in a division that's clearly lacking in talent. If they were top 10 in actual caliber they wouldn't make GGG a 100/1 favorite or 20/1 at the very least. Do you honestly consider Monroe Jr. a solid opponent despite his ranking?. The man lacks power and is generally as basic as can be. He was literally handpicked to make GGG's aggressive style and punch resistance shine to the absolute maximum.

 

Fair enough. I'd really like to see him aim for unification rather than ask Welterweights to move up to fight him. Unifying is the best start to marking a solid stamp of dominance in the division.

 

Well, he's made it clear that he wants Cotto next. Cotto has the WBC belt and is the lineal champion.

Cotto doesn't want to fight him. He does not want to fight GGG.
