Roach: "Hatton doesn't belong in the ring with pacquiao"

Hatton didn't belong in the ring with Floyd Mayweather. Speaking for myself; that seemed pretty clear to me at the time. I'm not at all getting that impression here, however. Freddie has a helluva fighter in Manny Pacquiao - I guess we'll be seeing about this.

 

That is due to fame. He couldn't cut it as a fighter and made it as a trainer.

 

Come on though, how many people did belong in the ring with Floyd?

He was always a cut above his opponents.

Its not **** talk if Manny can back it up! and so far Roachs predictions about the DLH bout were on the money. Roach seems to know what the hell he is talking about and so confidence and belief in you're fighter and being outspoken when you seem to know what the hell you are talking about is fine by me.

 

Familiarity is a pleasant feeling though, is it not?

 

Didnt belong in the ring with Floyd? WTF? Hatton arguably gave Floyd his toughest fight ever and he didnt belong in the ring with him? Not every fight has to be as close as MAB-Morales 1 & 2 or Frazier-Ali to say they belong in the same Ring. Floyd is an A+ fighter and Hatton is a solid A level fighter, they belong in the same ring.

Roach is just trying his hand at trash talking for a bit of promotion or maybe mind games...he knows very well Hatton is a dangerous opponent.

 

i have a feeling we're all gonna find out soon enough that he's right. pac is a ****in monster and he's only improving.

 

I honestly wouldnt be surprised if Fred had phoned Ricky and told him or even asked if he minded him saying this stuff.

It has obviously been arranged to leave the trash talking to the trainers as the fighters are too respectful and "nice" to do it themselves.
