As a Hatton fan I really hope it doesn't happen. Hatton just needs to retire.

Hatton can no longer get himself into the right shape because of the way he's abused his body between fights and the stress he had to put himself under to get back into shape. If you look at Hatton from the Castillo fight and look at him physically from the Pacquiao fight Hatton definitely has more fat on him and is quite a bit smaller muscularly.

His punch resistance has diminished a lot. The Tszyu fight took a lot out of him, he then took a lot of punishment against Collazo and ate far too many lead rights from Mayweather before getting knocked out cold by Pacquiao.

And as Hatton has progressed he's got worse technically. He's become far too predictable. His whole fight now just revolves around wide left hooks and lead rights, with his hands down by his chest and chin in the air. The Malignaggi fight proved nothing - he didn't have the power to test Hatton's chin, so there wasn't much threat for Hatton, and Malignaggi's defence was vulnerable to Hatton's lunging left hook.

Roach would make sure that Khan new exactly what he'd have to do to win by KO. It's just not worth Hatton carrying on, no matter who he fights.

This fight should not happen. I'd get arthiritis in my knees just watching it. I love Roach, but he should fu%k off trying to get this on.

err... thats how he always fought.

i dont see why glassjaw wants to fight hatton, no belts to win, i guess there might be abit of dosh for him but how many mancs would want to term up just to see their man get knocked out again?

His boxing ability was underrated pre-Tszyu (underrated, not great, but still underrated). A lot of his offensive work came off his left hook, but it was more controlled and wasn't used as excessively as later on and he actually used a jab and used head movement - now neither exist.

I reckon quite a few would as a farewell fight, especially against Khan. Hopefully there won't be a Ricky Hatton fight for people to though.

I hope Ricky Hatton retires. He was exciting, had immense strength in his optimum, and if he does fight on it should not be Khan.

there's no point of him fighting on, it will take him another 3-4 fights against top oppositions to gain him another shot at the p4p fighters that he is so obsessed with, by then both floyd and pac would have retired.

I wouldn't mind seeing this fight, but I think what would be best is for Hatton to have one last fight in Manchester against a poor opponent to get a win and say goodbye in front of his home fans. Then retire before he gets hurt.

Khan doesnt have the power to stop Hatton with 1 punch, and Hatton would maul through him enroute to an early KO. Khan may surprise me but that seems like the logical outcome.

if khan and witter win the wba and wbc respectively, they should concentrate on a domestic unification bought

Khan is bigger and faster then Manny, Hatton cant handle speed. At 140 Khan will be fighting at more natural weight so his power should improve a little and maybe improve his chin a little aswell. We will know more about Khan at 140 on June 27. Khan also now has improved defence and better feet movement under Dr.Roach.

Khan would finish Hatton inside 6 rounds, if Khan sticks to Dr.Roach's gameplan, Dr.Roach knows Hattons flaws.
