    Venue comparisons:

ODLH/Mayweather (MGM Grand Garden Arena): The highest (grossing fight), Oscar De La Hoya vs Floyd Mayweather Jr on May 5, 2007 grossed $18,419,200.00

Manny/Clottey (Cowboys Stadium): The fight was rewarded with a paid crowd of 36,371 and a gate of $6,359,985

I mean it's there for anyone to see, there's nowhere outside of possibly MSG (which I haven't researched) that is going to generate the revenue/gate numbers that the MGM Grand will.

if they fight in one hour people and not just boxing fans would get off work early and rush home to order this fight and it would still be the biggest selling ppv event ever. that's just ridiculous.

This fight has promoted itself, it doesn't even need help! Gonna have to disagree with Roach on this one.

    Whats so sad about it?
Both Arum and Roach are dealing in reality and looking out for their own best interest in the knowing that if they feed Pacquiao to Mayweather, the carnival is over.

Instead of hearing excitement and enthusiasm for the biggest fight in boxing, they always give excuses and diversions. The time is now. They already wasted years and this fight ain't gonna get any bigger. Make that **** happen. Pac had enough picked opponents already.

Yeah, because constant exposure on ESPN, a 24/7 that can be shown on TBS, CNN, and HBO with multiple playdates during the week, corporations that would KILL to be apart of the promotion, constant internet, radio, and TV ads, Primtime Network TV appearances by both fighters, and the unbelievable drama of having the 2 best fighters of the era square off after years of buildup, with one a beloved icon around the world, and the other one of the most famous boxers of the decade who is about to go to prison weeks after the fight is not enough.

    No, not nearly enough......:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl

My thoughts exactly. Imagine the hype just with the announcement that the fight has been signed. Then a NY press conference. An L.A. press conference. And then the fight. 24/7 will be AMAZING!!!
