I agree, although as I noted in another recent thread on the subject, Mayweather may finally feel as though Pacquiao has slowed down enough (that is, Pacquiao looked bad enough against Mosley) so that it is now "safe" to fight Pacquiao.

I've never, ever thought Floyd would get in the ring with Manny. I've said this a thousand times between 2009 and now. He never mentioned Pac being on PEDs or OSDT or anything of the sort, until he felt the pressure to fight Pac, and then he pulled out the last ditch bull**** card to hide behind, and has been hiding there ever since. He's a coward. I wonder what his next trick will be now that Pac has had enough of his cowardice and is ready to put himself through outwith-the-rules-of-the-****ing-sport testing just to force the coward to fight. I bet he'll say he wants 70% of the purse or some other bull****, knowing that Manny will say no way, knowing he can again convince his legion of moronic fans that he deserves that and shouldn't settle for less. They'll eat it just like they eat all his ****, and the king ducker will have successfully ducked again.

I agree with this, completely. The Cotto fight was the final straw for Floyd, I think.

Now, did he think he saw something in Pac-Mosley? Maybe. I guess we'll find out.

Floyd critics, is Mayweather scared of Pacquiao or does he think Pacquaio has slowed down and now he will fight him? Because I heard plenty of people who said he was scared of Mosley and would never fight him(Arum, Roach, and the TS were in this crowd), only to turn around and claim Shane was washed up after the fight.

I dont know what Roach is talking about. The ball has been in there court for almost 2 years now, right afrer the Marquez fight there gonna ask Manny and Roach once again"Are you guys ready to fight Mayweather" If it's the same "I"ll talke to my promotor" BS then we might never see the fight.

I have to say I'm a fan of both but if this fight never happens I would blame Pacquiao. You cant let a little drug test get in the way of one of the biggest fight ever. Yes you might say vice versa but Mayweather is gonna take the test too!! Not just Pacquiao

    This is VERY TRUE!:good

People will always be haters but you need to respect someone as great as Mayweather. Hes a pure boxer and great for the sport. Arum,Roach and all these fools said Mayweather would never fight Mosley. He tries to fight Pacquiao in March but the fight doesnt happen, so who picks for his fight?? The lineal champ in Mosley.

Floyd has been scared of Pacquiao, that seems fairly clear.

Should he decide to fight Pacquiao now, then it stands to reason that Mayweather thinks he saw something in the Pacquiao-Mosley fight that changed his mind about his ability to defeat Pacquiao.

Was Floyd ever scared of Cotto, or Margarito? Was Pacquiao ever scared of Mosley?

One thing's for sure: Based upon his fight history and previous efforts to make a Floyd showdown, it doesn't appear as though Pacquiao is -- or ever was -- afraid of Cotto, Margarito, Mosley or Mayweather.

Now does Arum want a Mayweather fight to happen? That I doubt.

So I see you're playing both sides of the fence, fair enough.

Mayweather fought a Mosley who had lost to Cotto and who was 38-and-a-half years old. This isn't Prime Mosley we're talking here. Don't get it twisted.

Now, did Pacquiao fight a similarly aged Mosley? Yes, he did. Why? Because he and his team have been fighting guys that Mayweather fought, apparently, to show the public that their guy (Pac) is better than the guy who doesn't seem to want to fight him (Mayweather).

That is, if you can't get a head to head fight against the guy, then go show you're better than him by doing better against the same opposition.

That plan worked well against ODLH, Hatton and Mosley. It also worked for Mayweather against Marquez.

That's the reasoning. It's like Floyd not fighting ODLH until he started to slow or not fighting Mosley until he was nearing 39 years old.

Many people may want to not fight Floyd at this time. Will they fight him when he's 38? That's a whole different story.

I've never, ever claimed Floyd wasn't a master cherrypicker. He knows when to go after guys. Ortiz is another excellent example.

Floyd is, to me, a coward (at least as regards Pacquiao, in the recent past). But he's also an excellent businessman and has a great sense of timing about when to fight a guy and when to avoid him.

Yeah but he was Lineal champ after spanking Mosley. How come Pacquiao didnt fight Mosley expect for Cotto?? I'll tell you why because Mosley beat the crap out Margarito and Cotto had a close win against Clottey, THATS WHY! at least Mayweather had the balls to fight him after Margarito, Pacquiao fought him after a draw with Mora and a spanking from Mayweather :lol:

I know why team Pacquiao wants to fight all Mayweather leftovers, and its for that reason you put, but it finally backed fire on the Mosley fight. The fight was not entertaning whats so ever and Team Pacquiao didnt become the first to KO Mosley, so sad.

    * Larger total margin of victory than Mayweather had vs Mosley
    * Never hurt by Mosley as Mayweather was
    * Knocked Mosley down, unlike Mayweather
    * Both Mosley and his trainer thought about stopping the fight before the final bell

He did better against Mosley than Mayweather did, too. Although I do understand how some in the public may not have felt that way, given expectations and how Mosley fought (defensively).

Yes, let's comletely ignore the fact that Floyd had been calling him out for years, and that Oscar had no interest in fighting him until that fight happened.

He's older now than Hoya was in their fight.

No, but it's pretty convienient how you downplay his choice of oppostion while continuously justifiyng Pacquiao's; even when Pacquaio is fighting the same guys after Mayweather.

So again, you're playing both sides of the fence. If the fight doesn't happen, it's because Mayweather is a coward. If the fight happens and he loses, that's justification for your assertion that he was scared the whole time. If Mayweather wins, it's because cherry picked a fading Pacquiao. At least you've learned your lesson.

You claimed over and over that Chad Dawson was scared of Diaconu and that Diaconu would knock him out. After Dawson beats him with ease, you trash the win. When the Mayweather/Pac was almost made two years ago, you claimed Mayweather was ducking Mosley to fight a midget. Once Mayweather schools Mosley, Mosley is a feeble old man.

BORING Ass fight because the fought a 39 old Mosley that just had a draw against Mora. you can try to put the all the statics you want but the fact is that Roach wanted Pacquiao to KO Mosley and it didnt happen. Big FAIL and I've never seen anybody boo at a Pacquiao fight or PPL mad after a Pacquiao fight. Big Back Fire!
