Here's a simple question: Was the Mosley that fought Mayweather a "prime" version of Mosley?

Dawson ducked Diaconu, there's no way around that. Now why did he duck him? I can't say. But he definitely ducked him, and gave up his belt to do so. Did Dawson beat Diaconu? Absolutely. Did he look great doing so? Nope. Do I think Hopkins was encouraged about his prospects against Dawson after watching Dawson-Diaconu? Yep.

Do I think Dawson or Team Dawson was afraid of Diaconu's left hook? Yep. Maybe bringing on Manny Steward helped Dawson or Team Dawson get past that kind of fear, I don't know.

I never called Pacquiao a midget. Is he smaller and less long than Mayweather? Of course he is. Is Mosley bigger than both Mayweather and Pacquiao. Yes, he is.

Again, timing: When to fight the guy. Mayweather chose the right time to fight Mosley, and I give him credit for knowing when to take him on (that is, after Cotto had beaten him but also after Mosley "rebuilt" his rep vs Margo).

Mayweather fighting Ortiz now is a similar situation as to when he chose to fight Mosley: Both guys have been "exposed," but also rebuilt. So you can make money off them, but still feel you'll be able to beat them.

Again, in the public perception, Pacquiao may have not done as well as hoped vs Mosley. I accept that possibility.

In reality, he bettered Mayweather's performance.

Yeah but nobody cares about the reality **** because they both beat Mosley and it wasnt even close on both ends. The fight sucked so Arum and Team Pacquiao took a hit and they used CBS and try to make this bootleg ass fight bigger then it was and it STILL didn't do more buys then Mayweather-Mosley with no CBS. A big FAIL on that fight so they had to fight somebody good (finally JMM) and now Mayweather comes back to put the pressure on team Pac again. I think there finally gonna fight

Did you honestly think that a non-American fighter, facing a man coming off of a recent decisive loss and a draw, was going to outdo a fight with two American fighters (one of whom was undefeated and the other just knocked out "The Bad Guy"/Monster Margo)?

I didn't. Yet, Pacquiao still had his best-ever PPV buyrate (and was within 100K buys of Mosley-Mayweater). If that's a "loss," sign me up for some "defeats," please.

You forgot to mention how promoted Mosley-Mayweather was, or that the promoter, I think, was talking something crazy like doing 3 million buys. How'd that work out?

Dude the fight was a bust, just accpet it. Now pacquiao has nobody else to fight but JMM, to bad he waited till JMM was almost 40 to finally give him his 3rd fight. geez...

Why do you keep going on about leftovers? Floyd has fought more shot leftovers than anyone.

now your reaching or your not a very good follower of the sport .. Floyd has chased Oscar from his days at 135.. Floyd has wanted to fight Oscar way before he slowed down.. The same goes for Shane. Shane didn't want to fight floyd until he felt he had nothing to lose .. But when Shane was on top, he wanted nothing to do with floyd.

Yeah People like him are just your haters. I know PPL dont like Mayweather but you gotta at least repsect the game. these fools know that Mayweather tried to fight DLH and Mosley years ago, there the ones that didnt want it. same goes for Pacquiao. everybody knows Mayweather wanted to fight Pacquiao in 2010 but they might not fight till 2012, not Mayweathers fault

    - Mayweather will fight Pacquiao

    - IMO - Mayweather has been doing boxing since being a toddler - he knows when to fight Pacquiao - that is when Pacquaio slows down significantly enough for a easier Mayweather win.

With all the talk of Mayweather fighting Ortiz, it seems as if the hater are still complaining. But why is Pacman fighting JMM again years later and making JMM come up to a weight that h will be too slow? You guys don't find anything wrong with that, but eveything Mayweather does is problematic. Come on guys, call a spade a spade. If mayweather is taking the same tests to ensure that everyone is playing fair why can pacman just take the tests. If he really does not want to take the tests, then don't and theere will be no fight and they both can contibue on fighting other people. All the talk of mayweather is ducking him makes no sense. He has been champion way longer than pacman, makes more money, the bigger star ( I must admit Pacman is pretty damn global right now!), and yes if Mayweather wanted a bigger purse of the pie, he should get it. No one argued when oscar was giveing guys peanuts, and now mayweather is in the same situation and you guys have a problem with that. The problem is that a lot of you guys on here don't know **** about boxing, and probably are racist as well. The fact that a black boxer is still relevant making millions of dollars, maybe 3 -5 more than whta pacman makes is killing you guys to acknowledge it. Pacman will walk through Marquez b/c of the weight issues, and age factor. Mayweather will probably walk through Ortiz as well but he's young ( that's what the public demanded), he's bigger (another public demand), stronger ( another public demand) and he's hungry with lots of power ( another public demand) So how can you not like this fight, but are praising pacman and jmm at 144. You are crazy!!!
