If you talk to Freddie Roach, he’ll admit that Ortiz has the style and power to hurt his star fighter. He’s had them spar before. He once told me that he had to cap those session to two or three rounds because of the damage both southpaw punchers would inflict on each other.

    This was from Dougie's mailbag.

Damn I would pay good money to be at those sparring sessions.

So would I. Ortiz is a rugged dude and so is Pac. I would pay for that way before I pay for a Mayweather fight. Unless it's Pac of course.

Ha! And a couple of morons were giving me **** for a thread that I made that ortiz imo blasts away any of his considered next opponents, and that is rather see ortiz vspac instead of brad, kahn or jmm

That would be the type of fight that shortens your career, or sparring that takes its toll.

arum will not make fights unless in the worst case scenario(pac getting beaten) he can still make money of it. this has been the case in the oscar fight(could move back to 140), cotto(rematches with margarito and clottey) clottey(rematches with margarito and cotto)mosley(rematches with pac/margarito and cotto) I think cintron is more likely to get a pacfight then ortiz is considering ortiz is gbp and arum doesnt give a **** about us fans.

Margarito vs Perro would be a career shortener also.

Getting knocked down twice by a big hitter like Berto and coming back to win should remove the glass jaw tag.

Very true. Cintron would be as dangerous as Ortiz imo. Kermit is 5'11 with a straight right that can hurt 154 pounders.
