"I see Pacquiao starting quick, busting him up to the body, working in some headshots. And I see Oscar marking up pretty badly, possibly cutting - and I think Pacquiao knocks him out inside of 9."

    Freddie Roach, December 2008

I still dont get why the **** Roach let Pacquaio take this fight. I find that fact that he believes it to competitive worrisome and a bad sign of his mental state

The more I think about it, the more I have to think that Roach does'nt really believe what he's saying.

Roach has never been as upfront and cocky about predicting outcomes for his fighters.
.......he's gone almost as far as guaranteeing victory for Pacquiao.

Roach is just out of character.

Imo, if Roach truly believed that Pac had a realistic chance to beat DLH, and was confident about it.........he would'nt be making the outrageous statements in regards to this fight.

Its written all over the wall.......its a cashout fight for Pacquiao.
Roach is being outrageous to sell as many PPV buys possible.

I believe that Roach himself does'nt like Pac's chances, and the best he can hope for is for Pac not to get dominated, and looks competitive enough so that a Hatton fight is plausible enough to sell.

ODHL has kind of assumed the role of a villian or bully in this whole episode. i think nearly everyone hopes the underdog to pull off the stunner but all boxing logic dictates otherwise. However, there's just enough slippage from Oscar and pure determination from Pac to create a bit of intrigue...

I certainly wouldn't rank a Pacman win more shocking than Douglas over Tyson though.

Both Angelo Dundee and Nacho also said Oscar will blow Pacquiao away, shocking?, don't think so.

I've never heard that from them, where did you hear it?

In fact, in the beginning stages of camp, Nacho said he expected Pac to go the distance.

I believe it was the 24/7 or the Setanta sports countdown on the fight, Nacho was interviewed and that includes Dundee. In Dundee's own words he said that DLH's natural abilities(clearly his size advantage) is what will get him the knockout. In Nacho's interview he praised Pacquiao, admitted Pacquiao is a tough fighter to deal with(based on the Marquez fights) but also mentioned the size advantage which is why, in his words, DLH will be able to score a spectatular KO through.

Dundee says size has nothing to do with it.

Way to play the corporate Manny Steward role, Angelo.

I don't know about you but I'm sure I heard him mention DLH's physical advantages will play a major role in why he will the man victorious Saturday night, according to him of course.

Nacho also said the same thing and that includes almost everyone in boxing, fans or officials, you can add Mayweather Sr. to that list as well.

...Or it's a fix, and DLH will fall in 9. Sounds familiar...
