That's how I feel too.

I'd like to think Roach isn't so disrespectful and is merely looking to stir up the hype and bolster Manny's confidence as much as possible.

 

if pac lasts 6 rounds... the longer the fight gets the better pac chances are!

 

Roach did back himself once - He bet money on Manny to stop Barerra in their first fight.

 

Not happpening, but anything is possible I suppose.

 

Roach becomes annoying. Roach has changed.

He just wants to be in every magazine and website. It has even become worse than Emmanuel Steward. I do not know why all of the sudden he wants so much media attention. He also says that certain fighters should consider retirement when obviusly they are not shot (see Hopkins and Toney).

 

Roach is a complete moron. I stopped listening to what he had to said about a year ago. I think he's bought into his own little celebrity thinking and he thinks he's some big star now. What a moron. He's said some of the stupidest things a man can say during that time.

 

This is the same man who feared for Hopkins health against Pavlik, yet he thinks little old Pacman is gonna knock Oscar out...I don't get it

 

Roach knows that if Manny gets badly hurt in this fight that they are going to blame him. That means to me that a Roach corner stoppage is likely if Manny is taking a lot of damage AND losing the fight. Also, the money is already made, so why not just pull Pac out of there rather than get damaged and go for a Hatton fight or whatever the next step is, they are talking like 135 is too small for Manny forever now.

I have always liked Roach. I think he is a good guy. I don't think it is out of the question to suggest Hopkins and Toney should consider retirement. Of course they should consider it at their age. The comment I didn't get was saying Vasquez is punchy after the first Marquez fight.

In any event, Roach is great. Manny is going to make a mint. They did it. They got the big prize in the sky. The end game has been accomplished.

Sadly, the "beating the best winning prime fighters" goal has little to do with "making the most money" goal, this isn't Manny's fault, or Roach's, its just the awful sport of boxing.

Too bad we don't get Pac vs the best at lightweight, DLH vs Margarito, Mayweather vs the prime winning welters, Hatton / Witter when it was a hot fight, Dawson / Johnson 2
