I believe Cotto did better against FMJ, than Canelo ! And if you have any doubts, watch that fight again...and than watch Canelo, against FMJ. Cotto, belongs at 147LBS.

 

Yes, he's talking about that same Canelo. Cotto would get KTFO by that Canelo if they fight.

 

Cotto, has to much movement, ring generalship, and boxing skills for Canelo...Canelo, would have to chase him down, in order to delivery his power. Canelo, doesn't like fast pace fights, So this would be an interesting match up.

 

Cotto can still make 147... that's where he belongs. He has a much better chance at winning a title again at welterweight than junior middleweight.

 

No stamina (just like Canelo), no power and no speed to match Canelo. Good luck with that.

I've been a Cotto fan since he started showing up on the cable channels and I wish him well, but I just don't think his heart is in it enough anymore. Now hes just fighting to pad his retirement and maybe to make connections that will help him in his promotional company.

Why else would he leave that good Cuban trainer who was big on fitness and fundamentals?

I think he just doesn't want to work that hard anymore.
