He also goes on to say that HBO will NEVER use Clottey again after his dissapointing performance last Saturday.

“He was satisfied with going the distance with Pacquiao and he did, But HBO will never use him again. They told me,” said the American trainer, who was more frustrated than disappointed that Clottey chose to cover up the whole time.

“Manny fought a very good fight and it’s hard to knock somebody who doesn’t want to win a fight, just trying to survive and that’s what the guy was doing,” said Roach, who would have thrown the stool at Clottey, in front of nearly 51,000 fans, if he were his trainer.

I felt sorry for Clottey's trainer. Every round he told Clottey the truth, and was begging for him to take a chance. Clottey just wouldn't listen to him.

Clotteys trainer did all he could. Clottey was just scared. Either scared of Pac, scared of the event, scared of getting knocked out. It could be any one of those.

The guy has a solid defense, but he could of at least used that jab. Opportunities start to unfold using the jab. Even Pac would cover up inviting him to go toe to toe, but Clottey waited for the hurricane to settle, but it never did. He felt Pac's power and despite his trainers pleas he told himself "Na, I'm good."

I agree that HBO should never televise one of his fights again!

What he did last Saturday was a total disgrace.

If Roach was clottey's trainer, he would have never taken such a risky fight

Moron. Cotto and Clottey weren't potentially risky fights for Pacquiao? They were...Pac just stepped up to the plate both times.

Anyway, apparently Clottey had the shits, which is why he didn't put enough effort into it. Whatever.

you must cant read or something. He is saying that if Roach was Clottey's trainer, he wouldnt take the risk of fighting a guy like pac. I understand, since roach does handpick pac's opponents for him.

He didnt care what his trainer said cause his trainer was not the one paying him for this fix. He was out to please one man and one man only Bob Arum! He did a great job in Bob Arum's eyes. Bob Arum was all smiles after the fight when he should have been pissed at such a shitty undercard and boring azz main event but he didnt give a ****.

“I would rather get knocked out trying to win than going the distance,” said Freddie Roach...

“If you fight for a world title, you don’t go on a survival mode. You try to win the title because you know one it’s a once in a lifetime. He’ll never get another title shot
    in his life,” Roach said...
