no the marquez fight wouldn't have been more competitive, under any circumstance.

While I don't think Margo should be given the payday of a lifetime, the fight with pac really does interest me. I mean just after Margo-Cotto, how many of you would have backed Manny to beat Margo? I certainly wouldn't. Yes I'm aware that Margo was taken apart by SSM, but with his size advantage and good power, would anyone heavily back Pac to win?

I'm with the majority, PBF fight has to happen. Cotto fight even at 154 doesn't interest me, nor does a JMM rematch (personally don't think it would live up to the first 2).

If PBF doesn't get made I would liketo see him in there against Bradley, Margo or Williams at 147

obviously you're a casual boxer. That, or you're expecting Williams/Martinez drop down in weight.

Lemme give you the 411 - Freddie Roach has said that Welterweight is highest class Pac can go. His natural resting weight is literally at the Welt maximum, 147lbs. Traditionally, most fighters drop weight to get into the weight class for a size advantage thru weight gain/hydration between the Official Weigh-ins and Fight Night, which can be up to 36 hours.

The heaviest i estimate Pacquiao coming into a fight is 150lbs, where he's gone up against opponents much larger than him - the commentators were estimating Joshua Clottey to be 160+ lbs...

Obviously it would be very stupid to try to fight in the LtMid/SupWelt weightclass....

This guy is allegedly P4P #1, FOTD, and FOTY. He is also campaigning at WW. OK, he doesn't have to go beyond WW, but why in the hell is he fighting guys who are shot? There are tons of fights at WW and/or JWW. Why?

    -- Williams
    -- Berto
    -- Bradley
    -- Alexander
    -- Mosley

To fight shot Cotto and recently beat down Margarito is just a disgusting joke.

I dont want to see him fight Marquez again. Marquez is slipping and pac has improved since then so the result will be a convincing win for pac. Roach knows this.

I dont want to see him fight Cotto. We have seen what happens. The extra weight makes no difference to the result. Personally i think the pac of Today beats a Prime cotto anyway. And Cotto is far from Prime. We have seen it once so why bother again.

And dont get me started on Margecheato. Why give the cheat a pay day. It really sickens me to even think he is allowed to box again.

The only fight that interests me is Pac vs Floyd. Even though i would prefer Floyd win that fight i cant call the result. This is the reason why i want it to happen so badly. A 50/50 fight between the P4P kings for the P4P title. Out of all the other opponents its clear that pac would destroy them.

And lets get real... Roach is not putting him in there with Williams, so its not even worth talking about.

Of all the fighters the OP mentioned, Margo is the obvious choice. Except i think no one should fight that cheat-ass *******. Other than that, i'd definitely pay to watch that fight lol

Well, another JMM fight.... i'd pay to watch that, but why go there. JMM is a good bit past his prime imo, and not an honest measure of what those two as what was in the past. I think this one would not live up to expectations...

Cotto fight.. again? Yeah - no. I'd think Cotto would be even more trigger shy, despite gaining a legendary trainer.

I'm not sure there is too many options.
    1) Williams- would b a good fight and would shut up a lot of critics, personally would like to see it
    2) berto - too soon for berto, money isn't there
    3) Bradley - would like to see it, but Manny would b a HUGE fav pre fight.
    4) Devon - I rate him the best LWW but I think it's too soon. Needs a few more fights IMO
    5) SSM - after the PBF fight, does he deserve another shot at an elite fighter right away, or indeed would he want 1?

Come on. You come up with these reasons to down those guys, but don't do the same for Cotto and Margrito?

-- Cotto - DESTROYED by Margarito, beaten by Clottey, DESTROYED by Pac.
-- Margarito - Confirmed cheater, destroyed by Mosley.

Half of those reasons you gave I disagree are reasons to not fight.

-- Berto - He is a belt holder with defenses. Money isn't there? It was there for Clottey?
-- Alexander - Belt holder, but I agree.
-- SSM - He is a warrior. He would take it.

    -- Collazo - Forgot him

I have never seen you rip FMJ on the money angle, but how can we say the mega-fight money will be there for Cotto and Margarito?

Why not Bradley, Alexander, Mosley, Williams or Berto next? Who needs to see Pac keep fighting rematches?
