no logical person could justify pac fighting cotto or marg next...marquez would be nice, although theres already the built in excuse that marquez is done bc of how mayweather beat him...there are plenty of world class fighters in the 140-154 range, this in-house stuff is ridiculous

Huh? How in the hell did he secure Dallas Stadium to fight when the whole world new the fight was ONLY going to be in Vegas?

I am speculating but it is obvious you don't know what the hell you are talking about and taking Arum's words as gospel. Nobody in their right mind thought that fight was taking place in Dallas. What recent big FMJ fight ever has? Please back that up.

You are just talking out of your butt.

It is true. He is going to make it all the way up to 154 and not face a single one. It is a feat.

How can you call anyone a dumbass when you were the one that wrote a whole post about Pacquiao not going higher than welterweight in a thread where the video in the opening post said they were open to fighting Cotto who is there (154)?

By you acknowledging that they will fight Cotto there but not storm the division (in your words) by fighting the likes of Williams or Martinez shows you realise this is a cherrypick of an inferior opponent in that weight class.

So beating someone he already whooped their ass (again in your words) is appealing to boxing fans? Give me a break.:dead

    Exactly!

And to JMM credit and detriment, he has been taking on TOUGH young lions in WARS. He ain't the same guy and should not be in there with Pac UNLESS there is full USADA drug testing.

Mayweather booked the MGM for the same night because that's where he was going to fight Pacquiao.

The Mayweather fight needs to be made and anything else is a step back and a major disappointment. They are the two best fighters in the world and two of its biggest if not the biggest stars in boxing. They fight at the same weight and have been having negotiations ongoing for almost a year now. They need to make that fight.

But if it falls apart I guess there are some good fights out there for both guys it just won't be the same as if they fight each other though. But for Pacquaio:

Cotto- I don't want to see another Cotto fight yet, I can't see Cotto winning and I'd like to see him get another nice win or two at 154 before making that fight.

Margarito-I'm not too crazy about him making huge money off Pac after his hand wrap episode. I'd also like to see him in another fight to see what he has left before facing Pacquaio. But if Margarito were to look good in his next fight( if its not with Pac) then he is a real test for Pacquaio. I'm no longer a fan of Margarito but I won't let that cloud the fact that he is a big, strong, experienced, guy. He'd give Pacquio a tough fight.

JMM- If JMM beats DIaz impressively and the fight could be made at 140 then I'm ok with this fight. Its clearly not my first non-Mayweather option but they have some unfinished business and a noted history together. JMM matches up well with Pacquaio, I think Pacquaio finally gets the clear win he's lacked over JMM so far if they do fight a third time but JMM knows what to do against Pac and its an interesting possibility.

If Pacquaio isn't going to face Mayweather then, just like Mayweather, I want to see him face the best out there. Williams, Martinez, Bradley, Berto are all guys I'd rather see get a shot before Cotto, JMM, or Margarito.

a coincidental feat? Other fighters out there that may have never fought a specific ethnicity? Would you call them racist? Your hate-mongering just blinds ya buddy...

There's not even so many opponents of african ethnicity in the lighter weight classes. They're chalk-full of south-east asians, other asians, mexicans, and stuff like that. Lol give it a break...

Umm, if he is racist, how come they even dealing w/ Mayweather's camp? You're gonna have to say its ALL FOR SHOW lol - great sense of reality ya got

How is what i said not keeping it real? It's true and very obvious that nobody in Pacquiao's camp is throwing out any of those guys names period. I don't want to hear that no money bull**** or no name or not earned cause all those reason's apply to Clottey who Pacquiao just fought 3 months ago! I don't want to hear that Cowboys stadium date **** either cause they could have easliy moved the date a month later and found a better quality fighter for Pacquiao's resume but Arum doesn't give a **** about that and will ruin Pac's legacy watch.

ok ok, i give you that one - Clottey IS NOT a black american lol...
You alluded to Pac being racist though - you think he would have fought Clottey if he was?

Dude if a American Black fighter fought at Feather weight and NEVER faced a Mexican I would have some serious questions. You are comparing apples to oranges.

How in the hell do you make it to WW when the top 5 in both JWW and WW contain 50% African Americans? Then after the remaining non-African Americans are beaten you STILL choose to fight opponents defeated by the African Americans or do rematches with guys you personally defeated?

African and Black American are different. Nobody is faulting him for anything under LW. It just makes no sense now how he won't/hasn't facee any at his current weights. Pac has done everything in his power do snuff this bout. It has been working too.

d00d, i just already spelled it out to you why he'd go up in 154. Notice that Cotto's name was the ONLY one named out of the Lt. Mid? Ya think he might go up there JUST to snipe out Cotto? Yes. If you want to call Cotto inferior to his competition, thats YOUR problem....
