No. Just like if a Chinese couple moves to America and has a child the child is American and Chinese, but that does not make the kid the same group as Chinese American kids that have been in America for generations. It takes time for the person to be absorbed both culturally and genetically.

My point is this, American Black fighters grow up in a certain tradition of boxing. The American fighting style in general is a more athletic heavy style. Just like Mexican American fighting styles are beginning diverge from Mexican fighting styles. The Mexican American fighter is starting to put a higher premium on being "slick" versus "tough".

**** that marquez is done. Pac gains nothing by beating him. I rather see pac fight bradley or berto if mayweather fights dont happen.

    For legacy

    1. Floyd Mayweather
    2. Cotto at 154 for the 8th title in different weight
    3. JMM at 135 for the 5th lineal title.

Margarito doesn't deserve the shot. I am even concerned about Cotto being considered right away. He needs 1 more fight that tests him first.

Mayweather and Pacquiao need to get this **** figured out. If this fight doesn't go off, **** the whole lot of them.

just wanted to say you're right about the fight being in Vegas. Arum wanted the fight to be in the Cowyboy stadium, but in the 1st attempt, on the table, Golden Boy won out on dictating where they fight. Read in an article basically saying that Arum isnt pushing as hard for the Cowboy Stadium again and is willing to let the fight in Vegas...

sorry to misinterpret that as you saying Pacquiao possibly being racist...

just wanted to take it like a man and not just hide and not post back....

You are a solid cat Skillet! :good

Yeah he was getting a phat site fee from Jerry Jones who is trying to make it a premier venue. Problem is that the TSAC is notorious for robbing fighters. No way that was happening.

Hell they didn't even drug test for Pac/Clottey after all the hoopla about PED's. WTF?

It would be criminal if Marquez dont get a shot. What's right is right.

    Williams (147)
    Alexander (140)
    Bradley (140 or 147)

why would he go after Cotto, Margarito, or JMM?

    Serious question....

Pac is the man, but the fact is if he fought one of those three hed be avoiding a lot harder fights that also have more relivence.... I think defending a fight against JMM or Margarito instead of fighting Bradley or Williams is being openly bias to pac.... just IMO.

I dont care about a Martinez fight because i dont think Martinez can make 147 comfortably, and i dont want pac to go higher then 147, people wanting him to keep going up in weight wont be happy until he fights someone big enough to beat him, whats the point in that... fight people in his own weightclass or 140, and theres plenty of good fighters around him to do that.

I see Kirk slowly starting to come around to see the truth about all of this...

There are tons of great fights at 147 and 140 even if Williams is never brought into the picture.

if no floyd , I'd like to see Pac fight Marquez at 140, or 135 . Marquez should be better acclimated at the weight now. Also depends how he looks in his next fight.

I think that fight needs to happen though, for obvious reasons.

That **** costs a good bit of money (still chump change for fighters at that lvl) but not required to be sanctioned of course.

Floyd went ahead and had his PED testing vs SSM.
Rightfully so, considering that SSM had been busted for that before.
IMHO, i think PED testing is very feasible for all High Profile/Big Event fights. The estimated $20k testing is a drop in the bucket compared to what the Promoters, Fighter and his management makes.... and it truly authenticates the fighter's physical abilities

I think it should be purse and/or importance related. A fight purse should be huge for that testing.

I think that is why Pac's team said, "Tell the commission to change it and we will do it." They know that it is IMPOSSIBLE to do because, per the athletic commission's rules, the promoter and/or fighter pays for drug testing. You know that really just means the fighter pays.
