Khan is going to press and catch Paulie off balance and floor him early, but he will get back up.

im a khan fan, but isnt roach a bit out of order here saying this ? i know its just to hype the fight up & cause he hates mallanagi etc, but khan probably wont stop him, he hasnt got great KO power & mallanagi has a great chin

hows this goin to lead to anything other than khan feeling like hes let roach down, and surely, if he feels he has to stop him, he might forget his game plan ??

    just a thought

Prob be a TKO from Khan, back him up on the ropes and unleash a flurry, ref jumps in, Paulie screaming 'robbery!! I got f****d up the a** by the referee'

I always wondered what kind of power Khan has. He has been in the ring with a series of feather fisted or washed up opponents.
I just cant see Paulie hitting the canvas in the fight.

See this is what I don't get,Khan fans calling Malinaggi a joke,Roach ripping him because he's only ko'd 5 of his opponents, but if Khan does beat this "joke who can't punch for ****" (not my description of Paulie but rather the Khan fans), all we'll be hearing is how spectacular khan is...it makes no sense. Is Malinaggi a credible opponent for him or not and if not why is Khan fighting him instead of Maidana??

Paulie's chin ain't what it used to be. The beating he took at the hands of Cotto was sickening. Hatton also had him badly hurt on a number of occassions. If it wasn't for Malignaggi holding and spoiling in that fight I believe Hatton would have got him out of there a lot quicker. Hell, even feather fisted Diaz had Malignaggi stunned in their first fight.

The myth of Malignaggi's supposed great chin is largely based on the fact that he managed to last all 12 rounds with Cotto. However, let's not forget that Cotto was pretty much a walking corpse towards the end of his stint at 140lbs. I do believe that Paulie's chin is very much overrated here at ESB. He's also not as elusive as his fans make out. Hatton managed to tag him at will with his wide looping hooks, so I have no problem envisioning Khan getting to him.

Paulie's best weapon is his jab, he used it to great affect against Diaz in both fights. Unfortunately for him I believe Khan has the better jab. It's faster and carries more snap. I expect Khan to win and win emphatically. Roach hasn't been wrong for a long time now, so I'm willing to go along with his assertion that Khan stops Malignaggi.

Exactly, this why it pisses me off to hear khan fans acting like Malignaggi is some joke and not to be taking seriously,it's only if (and that's a big if) Khan beats him that they will start acknowledging that Paulie is a good fighter,I hate that ****!!

the reason hatton stopped him was that he landed everything he threw and malignaggi was totally outclassed. it was only the holding and spoiling that stopped hatton actually ko'ing him much earlier. by the time of the stoppage malignaggi wasn't even fighting back, he had lost every round and obviously wasn't going to win by ko, mcgirt done him a favour, before he got hurt badly.

i actually agree that mcgirt should have let him fight on for the last 2 rounds. paulie wasnt hurt badly, he was outclassed but he wasnt hurt. i think paulies that type of fighter who can accept defeat, a brutal beating infact, aslong as he makes the final bell... mcgirt should have let him be that man!!

Mcgirt should have let Paulie get his brain damaged all the way to the bell because going the distance looks better on paper......:nut:rofl

Who on this forum can say that if someone straight up called you and your crew drug cheaters, that you wouldnt say what Freddy just said? its boxing for crying out loud! Paulie gets to step into the ring with a guy who hes insulted......smells like this fight will mirror all fights that are fueled with a large dose of retribution in mind.:fire:bbb:nut

What Freddy said was what any man would of said. I like trainers who are humble, but i also like trainers who say how they feel when you try to humiliate there family.

This fight is going to be deeply personal.

hatton boxed very well, but he wasn't going to stop malignaggi in my opinion, because malignaggi was moving too well, he still had all his senses like he clinched when he needed to clinch, he moved when he needed to move, but he was getting outclassed, but i don't think he was getting the beating that would warrant his corner to stop the fight, especially when he only had two more round to go, and wasn't defensless. if malignaggi was on the ropes defensless, then yeah i would agree with you, but the guy had all his senses, and was defending himself the way he would in the first round.
