No not really...because Pac is a better boxer than Canelo and him and Algieri will be an action packed fight. Algieri isnt a knock out guy but he has a pretty style that will be showcased more against a great boxer like Pacquiao. Better style for him than a brawler like Provodnikov.

I think Algieri can and might prove a lot of people wrong again. Both in the ring AND in the promotion of the fight.

I would honestly like to see Algieri in there with another top fighter, WITH SPEED, before seeing him in with Pac. He was able to come out of obscurity and outbox Provodnikov, but that is a COMPLETELY different style than Pac. So going into this huge fight and promotion, he is still an "unknown". So that MAY make it harder to sell.

I'm not too familiar with Algieri. Other than his last fight against Provo, I haven't seen any of him. That said, is there any reason for me to think that he wouldn't fight Pac the same way he fought Provo? That he wouldn't fight off his back-foot for 12 rounds and sparingly throw counters to hopefully edge out enough rounds to win a decision?

Algeiri is the darling of the boxing world right now. If Pacquiao doesn't KO him he will lose.

Simple! he can do a Lara and win easy.

Well done within a few posts you've already established yourself as utterly clueless in regards to boxing. Close to a million buys? Put the pipe down son.

I personally don't give a **** about numbers as the money doesn't go in my pocket. I just want to see good fight but 1m buys? You are out of your mind.

Because styles make fights...he had to fight the way he did against Ruslan. Pacquiao is a faster better boxer and it will make for an interesting fight. Pac has never fought anybody quite like Algieri and I think he will have a difficult time. But it will be interesting to watch and see. Everybody think it's a joke and he will get killed just like they did against Ruslan....almost nobody gave him a snowballs chance in hell vs Ruslan, not even Vegas...yet he won with one eye. Pacquiao is a better style for Algieri in my opinion. Pac fans will say it's a joke, Mayweather fans will say it's a joke but I think this kid will shock the world on a grander scale in November than he did in June.

Pacquiao is going to get paid $20M+ to fight a guy with little power and little experience in China. Algieiri is not going to stop Pacquiao, and he will hard pressed to get a decision. I'm not sure I would call that high risk, low reward. Barerra, Morales, Bradley, Cotto, Marquez, are all much better boxers than Algieri. Pacquiao didn't look too bad in his last fight. He's not as explosive as he once was, but he should have plenty left in the tank to outbox Algieri.

I know everybody thinks that and that the fight won't sell but I'm telling you that everybody in for a surprise. Just like everybody think Algieri is an idiot for turning down 1.5 million. Don't be surprised when he probably gets offered much more either. Minimum 2 million but wouldnt surprise me if its 3 million or more. He is worth it and they know it. They know this kids value in marketability but what they don't know is that he can actually win this fight.

I'm telling y'all algorithm is going to take Balcquiao to the Argentinian school of boxing.

He just better not ask for random testing cause they're still scared of needles over there

Algieri should compete against Lara. In the Boston Marathon.
