Floyd should definitely primarily box off the back foot in his next fight against an overmatched opponent. That's what's needed to prove his all time standing, good thread. Better still, Floyd should try and match his movements to a somba tune.
It's a myth Mayweather has always boxed off the back foot because most people started watching him around the Baldomir/DLH fights when he had bad hands and was facing much bigger men with iron jaws. Against Castillo too he had bad hands. Normally against southpaws he walks them down - see Corley/Judah/Mitchell. Ortiz when hit, goes backwards - see Peterson and even old Campbell walking him down. Still he is nowhere near as quick at walking his man down as he was against Mitchell/Corley/Judah However yes he is fading, his stamina/reactions/speed isn't the same at the age of 34 it was 2years ago, his speed dropped since coming up from 135-140. Ortiz did hit him a bit more than he usual got hit, but Ortiz is pretty fast in his own right and aggressive.
