Roach: Keith Thurman is too slow for Pacquiao

He`s not as fast as Floyd was and his reflexes are pretty bad, his counter punching isn`t as quick as Barrera`s was either. Hatton had faster feet when moving into a fighter but didn`t get a chance to use that tactic when Manny clocked him. Mosley in his prime was faster than Thurman, but may have slowed a lot by the time Manny dominated him.

Thing is Thurman has been injured the past 2-3 years unless he was completely bullshitting to duck Spence. He looked awful against Josesito, Thurman tries to claim he looked awful for one round, but he got his ass kicked for 3-4 rounds, though he did clearly win. Thurman is rusty af and doesn't have Horn's awkward style. Thurman 2016 is a clear favorite in a competitive match to beat this 40 year old Pacquiao, but this Thurman is a major question mark. That's why the fight is so intriguing for me.

 

I agree that Thurman is not in his peak, not at all, he's rusty as hell.

But man, this thurman is still better than the australian teacher, hence, he can win with no problem. I don't see thurman losing this fight, tbh. I could be completely wrong, ofc, it wouldnt be the first time, we will see.

The Australian substitute teacher's style was just hell for Pac. He beat him with rough house tactics and awkwardness. I'm also picking Thurman, but it's not a pick I'm confident about.
