Khan has got a lot of work to do before he can even consider getting in the ring with Ricky, who will have retired by then anyway. Can't see this ever happening.
when khan throws bombs he is wide open also drops his hands an awful lot against hatton that would be fatal also he has got to earn the right to fight hatton, hatton would be to strong and smart for him.
This is the fatal flaw of all trainers. Even Angelo Dundee thought Pinklon Thomas was going to beat Mike Tyson. The trainers always see the potential in their fighters and want to help them reach it - unfortunately potential goes out the window as soon as someone gets hit on the chin.
Would be over in the first round. Khan literally has no punch resistance against decent punchers. Hatton is better than a decent puncher, and will spark Khan, not as bad as Prescott in terms of the jerky movments it elicted in Khan. Hatton will hit Khan with his jab, freaking him out, move in quickly with the same sort of right he hit Paulie with in the 2nd, Khan will go down, and not move. Either that or he hits him with a body shot, Khan goes to one knee and is unable to get up. If a blown-up SFW in Gomez can badly hurt the fully-fledged LW Khan (and big for the weight) with a body shot (5th round) then at 140, Hatton can stop Khan easy. Khan doesn't have a punchers chance, he's an accumulation puncher, and he would not be able to go that long without being hit at least once. I'm not joking, this kid has the worst chin I've ever seen. Period. Search the 4 second clip of him getting clipped by Craig Watson, coming off the ropes with a short left hand. Would definitely merit a flash knockdown, it's that kinda' punch, but Khan's legs are gone and he's all over the place, like Bambi on ice.
