Maidana was barely gettin with Garcia or not even with him yet when he fought Alexander. He looked very good vs Floyd and Broner, there were moments he was outboxing the boxers, it wasn't just pressure, but the jab, defense, and perfectly timed shots, all that was falling into place. Alexander would get owned worse than Porter it he got a rematch with Chino. I like KT, but his last fight with Bundu hurt his cred and I don't think he earned a fight with Maidana, but yes, hopefully it will get done eventually.
You are right he will use the high guard more and that is a problem for Floyd. He isn't near the fighter out of the high guard as he is out of the cross guard. He needs the vision the cross guard gives him to fight his style. With both hands high he cant see. Floyd is a great maybe greatest defensive fighter out of his half guard. But in his high guard there are plenty better than him.
I'm gonna repeat my, you might want to stop reading about boxing, and actually watch it sometime. It's a pretty cool sport.
...so you give ODLH no credit for his early success in The World Awaits? IMO he was responsible for his own success as much as he was for throwing it away late. Roach certainly didn't teach Oscar how to control a fight with his jab.
Yeah and I'm unimpressed with Floyd's high guard because I've never seen it. You might try and use some logic before you make stupid comments.
True enough but he did set up the game plan for that fight and it worked until Oscar gassed. There was no brilliance on Floyds part as roger said 'Don't worry about the jab he is going to get tired.'
It was your ****ysis of his high guard. Had you stated You were not impressed i would have left you alone. but to say he cant see as well or whatever dumb **** you said was.... well just plain dumb. The fact was, he has been effective when he has chosen to use it. Very effective. ie: he won every round from the point he went to high guard against Judah. He dominated Mosley behind a high guard. So what you said.. Made no sense.
Bull**** judah dropped him when he was behind his high guard for that exact reason. He is not disciplined in how he employes the high guard. He opens the guard so he can see. He left that left sticking out there so he could see and got dropped because of it. Go to any gym and ask boxers who use a cross guard what they dont like about the high guard. The number 1 answer will be vision. So when I see Floyd opening up his high guard I assume its for vision. The dumb one here is you. Out of the high guard he isn't anywhere close to the level of a Wright or Quartey who can see through the guard better than Floyd. He is one of the best defensive fighters ever out of his cross guard. But saying that he is in the same ball park out of his high guard is stupid. Thats like saying you can take the 85 bears, have them run a 3-3 and they would still be the best or one of the best defenses ever. Thats stupid. The greatness is a combination of skill and system and how well they fit with each other.
Has 0 way to close the gap? Dude, have you watched his fights? He uses his footwork. He uses his incredibly fast feet to get in, land, then get out before a person even has time to blink. This was one of the hardest things to deal with, says Bradley. He also sets traps for fighter's with reaches. This video displays some of Pac's techniques at "closing the gap". https: //www . youtube . com /watch?v=TpgNpN97S1U
How does Pac beat Void's referee and judges? He has to win by knockout, but I think the referee will keep Pac away from Void............
are you stupid? bradley is an overated fighter with zero power bradley defense and skills led to be concussed and almost knocked out vs a slow, skillless RUSLAN..a glorified sparraing partner bradley is c class.
