I thought Kahn was fighting a pretty great fight until he got hit. Even then the mistake was throwing a right uppercut from the outside, plus it squared him up.

 

Pacquiao got hit 229 vs slow ass Margarito, something sugar shot Mosley didnt even manage to do, that should tell everybody what they need to know about his shitty d. His atg iron chin is unquestioned though

 

Margarito is much bigger than Pacquiao. Has a very big advantage in terms of height and more importantly reach. Margarito is also very relentless and doesn't stop coming forward even when getting tagged hard. Even more so against a much smaller opponent.

Mosley was very clever in tying Margarito up after getting his own powerful shots off. Pacquiao is and was not big enough to carry out this gameplan. He had to provide a lot of movement, and when he wasn't moving had to cover up.

I guess Pacquiao's defense is better than Mayweather's. Mayweather got hit more by Hatton than Pacquiao did.

 

Roach has always been a snide character but he gets a pass because he has Parkinson's.

Perhaps Khan compares himself to Pacquiao because Roach said he was the second best boxer in the world, had been giving Pacquiao problems in sparring and that he would beat Mayweather comfortably?

 

I think they should have let the fight go on given that khan was hurt far more after the initial knock down and Garcia was pretty much throwing everything at him.

problem is both of these guys khan and roach are known to talk a lot of ****. it was only a matter of time before they both start ripping into each others weaknesses.

in this instance, Roach has a right to be pissed - if Khan had just left it at "he couldnt give me enough time (with JCC jnr and pac) and i played second fiddle travelling to phillipines etc.) - then that would be true and no one could say otherwise.

As for saying Roach didnt teach defence, Roach knows what he taught and whether khan listened to him. Khan is a ***** who will never learn, he has a weak mind and poor ring iq. i heard roach several times telling khan to watch garcias left hook "because that punch can knock you out" he said it plenty times in interviews before the fight.

People expecting khan to become pernell whitaker when he gets a defensive wizard for a coach are being unrealistic, just like khan. He is incapable of using his brain n the ring and fights more with his heart - something a fighter with his attributes shouldnt do. i.e. he should use reach, fight tall with straight punches and a established jab. he cant fight inside, cant counter, cant adapt, hasnt got good footwork and obviously has a punch resistance problem - fighting with your heart with such attributes is completely wrong thing to do.

khan should just fight the way he fought kotelnik and he may be successful even at the top level. if he is a safety first fighter he could do it, even with the defence roach had him use.
