"I know how to beat him," said Roach. "Ricky won't land one body punch [on Pacquiao], it will be no problem at all."
The American trainer said he has already prepared their plan of attack against the British fighter.
He noted the weaknesses in Hatton’s style as he has extensively studied Pacquiao’s opponent for the superfight slated to take place in Las Vegas, Nevada.
"I have 20 of Hatton's tapes and I’ve studied them extensively," said Roach.
He said Hatton would look slower compared to the People’s Champ, and this, he said will spell the difference in the fight.
"He's slow. He's made to order for Manny Pacquiao," said Roach.
The boxing coach even made a bold statement that they would probably knock out Hatton earlier than Floyd Mayweather Jr. did back in 2007 because he said Pacquiao is "better" than the former pound-for-pound king.
"We'll knock him out earlier than Mayweather because Manny is better than Mayweather," said Roach.
Mayweather Jr. beat Hatton by scoring a 10th-round technical knockout during their welterweight fight on December 8, 2007.
Roach predicted they will bring down Hatton in Round 9.
At stake are Hatton’s IBO and The Ring Magazine light welterweight titles.

well both manny and hatton are forward/pressure/aggressive fighters. I would not be surprise if the match does end sooner but will manny absorb less damage than mayweather too? Mayweather didn't have a single mark on his face.

Roach never is wrong, he studied Fedor's tapes and just knew that Arlovski would knock him out. It's hard to argue with that....

Hatton is not slow by any means. He is an expert at cutting off the ring one of the best..

I wouldn't say that Manny is a pressure fighter in the same sense that Hatton or Margarito is for instance.

Manny does deliver pressure, but he doesn't have the get inside and stay inside approach that most volume punchers have.

In fact, while Manny is mainly offensive, he's more of an in and out combination puncher, but I'm not sure if you could classify that as a pressure fighter.

AKA, he doesn't just lead with his face.

Hatton is alot quicker than given credit for,his hands are not slow and his foot work is very quick,he closes the gap very quickly and cuts of the ring well.I hope Roach and Manny do think its going to be as easy as they they think it is,because they are going to be in for one hell of a shock on the night. This is going to be a classic Iam sure, its going to be a very competitive fight I believe.

i agree that Pac is better than Floyd but he is also much smaller than him.

I doubt he knocks Hatton out.
