I don't think he'll knock Hatton out cold, but he'll make Hatton quit or the ref will step in.

Roach is right, Hatton is too slow and just doesn't possess the skills necessary to beat the southpaw dynamo that is Manny.

Freddy Roach is a highly comepetent & respected trainer so I highly doubt he really believes Hatton won't land one body punch. FFS this is boxing, you are going to get hit!

However, forgetting about Hatton, I'm more concerned with the assessment that Pacquiao is better than Mayweather. I'm afraid you are incorrect on that one Freddy!

I wish Floyd would come back to sort all this P4P **** out. If/when he does return, Floyd will once again prove he's the best P4P guy out there!

 

he might be right. i think ricky's gonna get to his body some, but not much. pac is extremely quick on his feet and his footwork (not to mention upper body movement) is awesome. i think its gonna be a great fight but i think pac's gonna take it either by tko or UD.

I hope he is wrong to be honest I would like to see a major fight on this level turn out to be a war espeically these two guys both have crazed fans that are for sure to set up the atmosphere for the fight.

Ahh gotta love Roach. Of course he will hit the body, Hatton will dominate from the go and Manny will have never felt power like Ricky's to early to make a definite prediction but im going for a Hatton win.

 

If Roach is being serious, then he is being very silly. A few points spring to mind, such as the 20 tapes, he might as well throw them away as Ricky is now training under, and has in his corner Floyd Snr, the Floyd trained Ricky will pose a whole different set of challenges than Billy Graham's Ricky. Secondly, the only fighter who Ricky has struggled to land to the body on was pbf, the best defensive fighter of his generation, Manny is many things but a defensive master is not one of them. Thirdly, Ricky's speed is being severely underrated, Ricky is far from slow.

There are two keys to this fight, Floyd snr and the scar tissue around Ricky's left eye. One of those factors will be the decider in this fight.

 

Roach spouting prophesy (which in ancient Greece involved inhaling "vapors," if I remember right) is hardly surprising.
I think it all depends on who's able to impose their aggression the longest (Hatton), who's able to fight more effectively while backing out of the exchanges (Pac) and who can come in at angles and not just straight lines (both of them now, if I saw Hatton/Malinaggi right).

Hell, I'm just happy to see a "competitive" fight that actually is competitve!
