Much better fighters than Manny? Makes no sense. Pacquiao blew away prime Barrera, the same Barrera who had just beaten Morales and who went on to beat him again not long after. Seriously, non-sensical.

The current version of Manny is a better fighter than MAB or Morales. He will prove it beyond all doubt with the incredible achievement of becoming a 6-weight world champion by beating the undisputed number 1 lww in the world who has never lost before at the weight.

Many people, me included, felt Marco dealt with Morales far better in 2000 than he did in 2002, in a decision that he was lucky to get. Barrera did better against high tempo opposition by coming at them and throwing combination's. He sat back against both Morales and Manny, and wasn't all that successful. The only reason he rallied back on the cards against Erik was because he went into the second half of the fight more on the offensive.

And was also a lot more competitive in the rematch, ala Pacquiao II.

:yep:bart I'm afraid I'll have to disagree. He was and never will be as complete a fighter as the two just mentioned, fighters who had been at the top of Boxing for over a decade before they fought Pacquiao.

Yeah, but that was Junior Jones though. If Salvador Sanchez stood deadly still with his arms behind his back and his eyes closed, Jones could probably have knocked him down. You cannot argue with the awesome relevancy and crystalline logic of this surely Blue??

Many people, me included, felt Marco's 2nd win over Erik in the last fight of the trilogy was the only clear-cut win of the three fights. The results of the other two fights could be debated, the result of the last was close but clear to MAB. Interestingly, this came after Manny had wiped the floor with a cadaver which resembled Marco Antonio in 2003. Your theories on your favourite fighters are all very convenient aren't they, seriously?

You felt that their second fight was the most clear-cut? :patsch Explain this to me DINAMITA. This is, as you would say, "nonsensical".

Literacy lesson required urgently. Re-read post dum-dum. Then remove smiley in repentance.

I should be excused for my mistake considering it's almost 2am here. I apologize.

Both MAB and Erik were past prime fighters going into that third fight, but Morales was made the favorite due to people thinking Marco was finished. Even after that overstated "stupendous" performance against 115lb fighter Paulie Ayala, would you believe.

There is no argument from me that Pacquiao beat a very good Marco, but it's made out that Manny destroyed the best version of MAB ever. This is simply not true, and their rematch vindicated that.

If you think till now that pac is still hype then you're the one who is delusional. PAC is the truth and he has proved it inside the ring. :good

I don't think that is what he meant.

Pacquiao isn't hype - he is just over-hyped.

It's just all so convenient. You have basically worked everything out regarding the fighters you like and don't, so there's always some mitigating circumstance or other for every loss and some unfair advantage to the victor. I can put my hand on my heart and say Pac was well beaten by Morales first time out. You should try the same with your favourites. Such an admission does not make you a 'bad fan'. Your contempt for Pacquiao really is bizarre. I love him, but I love him because he is cut from the same cloth as Barrera,Morales,Marquez, in that he is fearless and leaves nothing in the ring after every fight, he gives it all. I love all four men. You protest that you don't dislike him, but it is very blatant every time you speak of him or his fans.
