Roach won the DLH fight in negotiations when he insisted on HUGE $ per pound weight penalties. DLH was so afraid of not making weight he gave up his advantage. I think Roach may be trying something similar here. Misdirection. Who knows. I don't think Hatton/Mayweather alter their game plan based on this.

Well, I can't imagine you'd want your main meal ticket to go into a fight with a weight and cash/resume/etc. advantage, so it's hard to find fault with Roach for that. It was pretty obvious that Oscar was salivating for it, though none of the reasons (except the payday) made sense to me: cementing legacy, winning Mexican fans, "won't fight a *fill in ethnicity of dangerous fighter* because of pillow talk" bunk and on and on and on. :tired

If Hatton's camp does change their game plan based on this, then bad on them. I suppose it's a win either way, since it's obviously sparking debate and might get more butts in seats.
