I don't disagree with that one bit. That Pacquiao has carried his power - if not increased it - while moving up in weight is phenomenal. Possible? Absolutely. Likely? I think JMM fights too intelligently to get into the reckless exchanges that would enable this outcome.
It's possible. For one I think it would almost be foolish to discredit a Freddy Roach opinion after so many of his premonitions have come to pass and for two, Pac's power is obviously devastating at his current weight. Marquez was rocked by a Juan Diaz left hook in the 2nd round of their fight and Diaz isn't considered a big puncher for 135. I think JMM would not be able to trade with Pac now as he has in their previous fights without getting koed.
Yeah, you're right and he got floored within 3 rounds in their last two fights. Pac w/ his increased power at a higher weight will KO Marquez this time. I just hope Floyd won't destroy him before they met.
it truly is a hard pick, you simply can't take away any credit from either one. sure, jmm did get smacked around by the younger, bigger baby bull that's no surprise. i'm sure if pac fought diaz, it'd also end in a ko win, but diaz would get in a couple of shots. jmm and hatton 2 completely different fighters, as are diaz and pacman, and i believe pacmans transformation began after his victory over erik morales, when he started employing manila ice, or his right hook. when manny's not fighting jmm, i usually route for him, but i think jmm has his number even at this stage
Most of Mexico's population knows that. Most of the Philippine population knows manny won the 2nd fight, a draw, and 4 knockdowns.
I don't think it's hard to have "one punch power" if you catch anyone with that shot he landed to the point of hattons chin.. didn't seem to have one punch power against Oscar.. Granted oscar has a good chin but he threw everything but the kitchen sink at Oscar at probably the same ring weight as the Hatton fight.
I don't see how 2 close fights can make someone assume he'd be ko'd in 3 rounds this time around. It would probably be another close fight
Because he's grown in to this weight superbly and is a boxer who constantly improves. I believe him I think he would have done the same thing he did to hatton to many many boxers.
How is JMM too intelligent for this to happen? Has anyone forgotten how many times Pac has hit JMM flush and how many times he's put him on the canvas? Not that JMM isn't smart, but he just can't effectively stop Pac from hitting him. He makes the fights so close because he can also hit Pac. I'm not saying it will happen. But it's not about JMM being too intelligent. If Pac has gained enough power, there's a good chance he knocks JMM out.
i agrre with you if the fight is @ 130....but in 140 pac knocks jmm out.... you saw how jmm got hammered in round 3 in their last fight...imagine that happening @ 140....
