Roach: manny's gonna turn Ricky into a human bobble-head"

    "Ricky is about to step into quicksand and his only chance of escape will have to come from the referee or his corner. He can say Manny beat a washed up Oscar all he wants. Just remember, Oscar didn't become washed up until Manny put him through the ringer. I'll put Manny's roster of opponents up against Ricky's any day. Manny has beaten a host of future Hall of Famers including Erik Morales, barrera, Juan Manuel Marquez and Oscar."

    During a conference call earlier this week, the "Hitman" reflected back to his win over Kostya Tszyu - an opponent he feels was bigger and stronger than Pacquiao. In that fight, Hatton was a bigger underdog, but he outworked and broke down the defending champ before stopping him after the 11th round - in what many still to consider that to be a career best performance.

    Still, Roach isn't too impressed.

    "Ricky has been dining on his kostya victory for a long time. That was four years ago and Tszyu was at the end of his career. Who else of note has Ricky defeated?"

    "Manny had his bobble-head night on Tuesday at the Giants-padres game and in the ring on May 2 he's going to turn Ricky into a human bobble-head, just like he did to Oscar. I told Manny I would be disappointed if this fight goes beyond the third round."

    We'll find out soon enough.

    Sounds like if the first 3 rounds are close Pac's corner will grow discouraged and have a meltdown.

    If it is close I hope Roach doesn't ignore the fight that is taking place and give Pac false information.

    Great double standards work from Roach, as usual. If Tszyu was coming to the end of his career, then where the hell was Morales when Pac beat him? In his prime? :lol: Probably what Roach will tell us. And sure he beat JMM. :smile As for the Oscar comments, even Roach admitted Oscar was dead at the weight, and now he's retracted it and seems to be denying that Oscar was washed up. What a tool. :-(

    i sense a lot of anxiety in Roach, either mayweather snr is getting under his skin or he's more worried about Hatton then he's letting on

    i like it how hatton and pacquio arent really saying much, just making me feel this fight is gunna be so huge when they both step in the ring , both trainiers have no respect for there opponenets but hatton and pac have so much respect for each other and in there abilitys, its roach who wont shut up thats making me lean more to hatton for this

    So now Manny is gonna try and stop Ricky in 3? And no Roach, you yourself said Oscar was finished prior to taking the fight and credited this observation with the reason you took the fight. :deal
