Freddie Roach said a third fight against Juan Manuel Marquez could also be lined up—that is, if the Mexican chooses to move up 5lbs to the light-welterweight division and if the purses are guaranteed. “If Marquez wants to come to 140 and the money is right…we’ll fight him again,” said Roach.
“Manny has no problem with that.
To be honest, at this point, with the way Manny is fighting, I think we’ll finally get Marquez.”
Pacquiao and Marquez fought to a 12-round draw in 2004 in a featherweight duel before the Filipino lefty won a split decision last year for the WBC super-featherweight belt.
“I’d love to see the fight and Manny has no problem fighting Marquez one more time. I thought we beat Marquez the first two fights. The first fight there was a judging mistake and I thought that should have been our decision…and the second fight was very close and could have went either way,” Roach said, stressing he didn’t like the way Marquez’s camp took the decision.
“By no means was it a robbery, but it was a close fight. The judges saw it our way, but if they’d seen it the other way I wouldn’t have been crying about it and I would have congratulated them.”
Marquez fights Mexican-American International Boxing Organization lightweight titlist Juan Diaz on Saturday at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas.

Well since Cotto will be fighting in june and possibly a rematch with mosley after that. I see Pacman-Marquez 3 happening sometime this year. I really rather see pacman go up against the winner of holt-bradley.

Pacman vs Bradley looks very interesting plus bradley is a champ at 140. :good

I love JMM & I love Pac but this fight doesn't get me too excited. I already seen them in the ring twice and although a 3rd would make for a great fight, I would rather see them in with different guys. I can only see 3 outcomes, 1) A repeat of their first 2 fights, a very close SD, 2) Pac puts JMM down and this time keeps him down, 3) Pac fails to put JMM down and JMM finally wins are clear UD. ALl 3 options are probable and I wouldnt gamble on this.

Deep down inside, Pacman knows that he got lucky especially in the second fight. I bet he feels like a lottery winner n **** but he just acting all cool on the outside.. As if he really won that fight. lol... I would kill to see a trilogy and Marquez will get justice. He wont be wronged again..

i like how roach admitted that the 2nd fight was close and could have gone either way and stated the fact that the decision was no robbery.

i hope jmm beats diaz and pacman beats hatton. this would setup a 3rd fight. the two best fighters in the world.
