Roach isn't making sense. Pac wasn't going to fight again until Nov. at the earliest anyway. So Mayweather could've not fought Marquez and just fought in Nov. Or, he can fight Marquez and then fight Pac in November still.

 

Mayweather knew Pac was going to win anyway so he set up his come back fight and tune up already. I'm not the one saying Marquez is tune up material of course but that's what it seems with the stuff going on. One fight before taking on Pacquiao is a smart decision especially after 2 years off. If Mayweather didn't think the fight with Pacquiao would happen he wouldn't have returned, that's where the big money will come from and he clearly wants it, which is why he's taking on a fighter Pacquiao struggled with as his first.

 

That is effectively saying wait for Floyd because it's a given he'll win and after it's a given that he'll fight us. I think Floyd will beat Marquez and would be willing to fight Pac for the right money, but neither is a given by any stretch. Had Floyd waited for the Pac/Hatton winner, he could have easily gotten the fight made. Instead he wants Pac to wait on him.

 

Floyd just wants a tuneup and also he wants to up his bargaining power by beating JMM worse than Pac did.

Also this "he's scared of us" type of talk is typical hype.

 

Where's that twat "pit" who said he was 'in the know', that a mayweather - pacquiao fight was signed and sealed and marquez was a 'warm up fight'.
