Trainer Freddie Roach is not convinced that WBO welterweight champion Miguel Cotto is comfortable fighting southpaws in the ring. He watched Cotto's fight with Zab Judah a few times and noticed how Miguel was troubled by Judah's style in the early rounds. He thought Judah broke down along the way due to stamina. he thinks Manny Pacquiao's style and speed will present a lot of issues on November 14.

"I've been watching that fight because its the last southpaw that Cotto fought. He doesn't fight southpaws really well. He has a little bit of trouble with southpaws. When he fought Zab, Zab was getting tired. Manny can do that all night long because of his conditioning."

Wasn't Quintana a Southpaw and had a 5 inch reach advantage on Cotto.

I think the Quintana win is underrated. Many people were leaning toward Quintana. I never expected Cotto to beat in that manner.

Roach really knows what he is doing, one of the best trainers in the world today.

Roach may be right about him struggling in the first rounds, but Cotto is very patient and can adjust accordingly during the fight. Quintana's chances were looking good in the early rounds too.

Cotto has a habit of switching to southpaw stance against lefties, and it usually ends up hurting him. He should stay away from this against Pac.

That's true... Some of Cotto's weaknesses are PAC's strength...;)

    1. Trouble with southpaws
    2. Questionable stamina
    3. Get hit a lot

    :D

Why is Roach always doing this to Pac and his fans?

.....he diminshes the victory by pointing out things in the opponent that he has trouble with.....

    DLH cant pull the trigger......

Hatton's skills are poor and made to order for Manny......

.....now Cotto has trouble against southpaws.

I'm sorry, but Roach talks too much and it takes away from Pac's victories.

Would'nt you want Cotto not to have these weaknesses and for Pacquiao to still beat him down???
