I agree. The *******s point to roach's comments as their reasoning on how pac will win his upcoming fights. Afterward, the *******s claim you're hating if you bring up roach's commments after the fight. The *******s are by far the dumbest group of posters I have seen on these boards.

That's why they chose Cotto over Mosley for the paper title.

We can't change or hide them, it's all facts... It's part of the reasons why PAC is installed as the 2 to 1 favorite to defeat Cotto...

Some of Cotto's weaknesses are PAC's strength...

    1. Trouble with southpaws - PAC is a southpaw
    2. Questionable stamina - PAC has superb stamina
    3. Get hit a lot - PAC throws relentless punches in bunches

Just accept that PAC is the favorite in this fight... but I won't be surprised if Cotto upsets PAC for this is a very competitive and exciting fight...;)

Well this one is for boxing's record books... If PAC is victorious against Cotto, he will be the only boxer who has titles in 7 different weight divisions... That's an enormous achievement and I think this record is very difficult to break or surpass...

Who among the current crop of boxers do you think can get titles in 7 different weight divisions?? Getting titles in 5 different weight divisions is already very difficult, how much more with 7 ?? ...

So bloody what Freddie. The fact is that Cotto has actually fought lots of styles and quite a few fast skilled southpaws and you know what he has always won against them stopping them. Now Pacman seems to have trouble with technical boxers does he not. He will be fighting something closer to Marquez but become stronger also with an excellent body puncher.

well, when i saw the cotto zab fight. Zab did catch cotto early, he also caught floyd early. Zab is a great puncher.

However, i also saw ZAB get punished to do the body early by Cotto. i think that has a lot to do with zab slowing down, but i guess he missed that part of the fight.

If this fight gets to the middle rds then its going to be brutal. Cotto is so strong in these rds and I don't see the 2lbs weight drop affecting him at all. My money will go on Cotto between rds 5-7.. need to pick a rd..

    hmm says . . .

I did a thread about Cotto and southpaws a while back when the fight was made and realized it wasn't just the southpaw stance.... good take on it though bro

albeit he beat some notable southpaws, you shouldn't emphasize just the southpaw stance but me and my boxing buddies have thought, analyzed, and concluded that it's the uppercuts Cotto needs to watch out for and left or right hooks from a southpaw stance. Just watch some of Cotto's fight were he had trouble or rocked... southpaw fighters...Quintana etc....

you can disagree but this is what i came up with for a gameplan

short uppercut(s) to land or break his guard....

as much as i like both fighters.. the speed is still key...

bump.. anyone feel me with the short uppercut being overlooked?
Pac is quick, so he can make due the in and out with his speed... to utilize it.

Cotto does not have trouble with Southpaws. He has a great left hook, which lefties have a hard time stopping. It's also easier for Cotto to land that left hook to the body against lefties, as a lefthanded fighter's back is turned towards a orthodox fighter's left hand. What Cotto does have problems with is uppercuts, and straight shots down the middle. In the middle of the ring, a good boxer will give him fits. Cotto needs to be able to force Pac to the ropes, and beat up on him there. If he can't, he's **** out of luck.

It's no brainer Cotto's defense is not the best, he is hitable, but then again if hes able to adapt and esp. take his chances when he feels he could take some shots and roughest up Manny. Then Manny is in trouble. Many are talking about Cotto being hitable, but Manny is being very overrated of not being hitable. A lot of people are just thinking about his two fights against Hatton and DLH. Great fights, but I bet I could get many videos were Manny is very vulnerable of getting hit many times esp. when he backs up. Manny should stay off the ropes. His speed has look great, but I think Cotto could handle speed very well just like he did with Judah, who has faster handspeed in my opinion, got a close decision against Mosley who has a lot of experience as one of the most active fighters with experience in the ring and even Paulie has some decent speed and boxing skills and Cotto was able to take away their biggest assets.
