Are these two still working together or are they done.
I have not seen an official statement reguarding these two since the rumor's began a while back.

I remember a quote in an article from Freddy that Moorer wasn't working there any more. That's what started the talk about it, I'm pretty sure. Not sure there'd be anything more "official" than that.

    From 8count news

    June 21.2009
Hollywood, CA- Former heavyweight champion Michael Moorer has been fired by Freddie Roach due to a conflict of personalities that had been creating issues amongst the wild card stable.

8countnews.com has just been informed by Freddie Roach that Moorer was asked to leave his position as assistant trainer primarily due to a personality conflict between he and Manny Pacquiao, and he and Amir Khan.

Freddie went on to say, “ Amir Kahn approached me and said; Freddie I want you to be my trainer, not Michael Moorer”
According to Roach, Pacquiao's sentiments are the same concerning Moorer.

Additionally, 8CN was informed by Freddie Roach that he wants to make it clear that there were no hard feelings and thanks Michael for his contributions during his brief involvement with the Wild Card Gym.

This announcement comes as no surprise to this writer. When 8CountNews.com was invited to Wild Card Gym by Freddie in March, I personally witnessed the chemistry issue between Moorer and some of the Wild Card staff. Personally speaking, I myself was subjected to some of Moorer's personality issues and went out of my way to be nice to the man, and in return was treated in a less than professional way, putting it mildly.

Moorer is a former heavyweight champion, and he should be respected as such. With that said, the respect due him for his acheivments inside of the ring doesn't apply to the man outside of the ring.

He was always thought as a loose cannon outside the ring. He can't be a trainer. He would ultimately attack one of his fighters due to his temper and personality. Too bad though.

I hear he had an rather surly and overbearing presence at the Wild Card gym.

They should have Tyson helping out there. I'm sure Mike would not turn it down - a chance to see young, up & coming guys through the ranks With Mike there, the gym would be buzzing & he would have the respect of everyone there!

Roach & Tyson get along very well so stranger things have happened!
