he just contradicted himself when he mentioned Lelo but then was plainly ducking Mosley when asked to fight him at 147 saying we're giving him too many advantages.

i give them a ****ing lot of credit for the hatton win. asking that of mosley is horse**** and asking 145 for cotto is pretty close

I like how it's OK for people with no experience in the sport to come on this forum, have radio or even video talk shows, and say some of the most outlandish, ridiculous ****. Roach brought up a good point that Mosley is a beatable plan B should Mayweather duck Pacquaio. Of course, Mayweather COULD call out Mosley but what are the chances of that happening?

and mosley offering to fight pac at 140 just proves that Mosley ain't out for glory, just a final huge paycheck. vice versa with pac fighting ODLH.

 

As much as it does seem like Roach is playing the weight game to Manny's advantage, I think it's important to remember at what weight he turned pro at. Pacquiao turned pro at 106 and won his first title at FLYWEIGHT! Oscar turned pro at 133, Shane at 136, Hatton at 138, Cotto at 139, and Floyd at 131. I think it's fair for Freddy to have concerns about his fighter taking on guys that are naturally bigger than him. I think it's become very casual for fans to look at it a certain way because Manny has come up in weight so well. But you would think it's ridiculous for someone like Darchinyan to move up in weight to fight Clottey, but essentially thats what kind of size differences Manny is taking on (not exactly, but you get the idea). I'm not defending the idea of having all of Manny's opponents having to drian weight to fight him to give a stamina, etc advantage. Just making a point as to how impressive his moving up in weight actually has been.

what pac has done is AMAZING and i don't think anyone discredits that. But to be the best, you have to fight the best, AT their best. if you need a little extra help to even it up, don't fight em.
