Roach was a hardcore, blood and guts, never say die tough mother****er in his fighting days. Don't be dissing him like he's some kind of *****. He EARNED the right to say 'we'.

Hes all of those things against very good fighters. But how does he fare against an ATG in his prime? Mayweather is high on the p4p ATG rankings based on skill and ability but i wouldnt place him that high until he beats a guy like pacquiao or a few top WW's. And i mean beat them convincingly by 'taxin that ass' in the words of PBF himself.

 

Roach can talk **** with the best of 'em. Kudos to him.

I respect your opinion dude but a 147 fight is a welterweight fight, not at catchweight. Pac was not yet 140 at that time, he was then a superfeather who had one probing fight at 135.

 

To be honest as afore mentioned I know people are gonna talk ****. i mean that is human nature. it just gets boring and repetitious to me. i respect his acccolades and i respect pacquiao it just gets old that when anyone tries to say something roach opens his mouth. correct me if im wrong but he wasnt always like this. it just makes him look cheap by constatnly commenting on everything. cotto hasnt said near the **** roach has in his career. he would rather prove it through his actions. some people enjoy all the **** talkin. and i do as well to a degree. just hearing his opinion on every statement made is ******ed to me. besides mayweather sr(who is annoying as **** as well) i cant remember trainers opening their mouths for every little thing. but then again as mentioned to each is own. just not my cup of tea

 

Freddie is becoming a joke when he talks boxing now lol... All trainers should just be allowed to talk about how training is going, and potential fights. Roach ridiculing anyone is funny to see from boxers/ex boxers lol...

i would never doubt his toughness and by no means did i mean to imply he's a *****. but you have to admit he's getting an ego lately and attaching himself to pac as if it's both of them getting into the ring. it's not. he's an AMAZING trainer and i have a wealth of respect for him as a person. but lately he speaks as if it's "he and pac"; it's not, pac does the fighting, you do the training. "we" won't fight nate campbell, pac will and freddie will train. his attitude has shifted lately and it just sounds as if he's putting himself on par with pac in terms of credit for his success; he's made pac the fighter he is today but at the end of the day, it's pac that's doing the winning.

 

When a trainer is talking with a bunch of H.O.F fighters who are talking about ring wars in legendary fights, you will find out that a trainer like Roach won't hae anything to say that can interest the ATG's and legends. They say Roach is the best trainers in the world lol... Roach is a good/great trainer. He has PAc who is one of the top fighters, so who else did he train that was great? He didn't even believe Vasquez would beat Raf Marquez in the rematch because he was not there.
