Roach talks like that for all his fighters though. The good ones and the not-so-good ones

True...he was on the "Toney can beat Klitschko" train before jumping off the large, unwieldy caboose when it became painfully clear where the tracks were leading.

Am I missing something here? People keep talking about Paq. making Oscar fight at 147. When has Oscar not had the upper hand in negoations? Oscar picked Paq. for the fight. He felt he could train hard and get back to 147. Oscar would not have fought at 147 if he felt he was going to be weight drained and unable to throw. It was a miscalculation on his part. Paq. did not dictate the terms of this fight. Im my mind Oscar felt he was going to be faster the lighter he was. That is why he came in so light on fight night.

Roach is the type of person who answers questions when asked. He is somewhat of a straight shooter and tends to express exactly how he feels about a particular subject at the time in which he's asked. Other than the fact that he's far more articulate and a bit more classy, Roach really isn't too much different than Roger and Floyd Sr. in that that way. What are your opinions on those trainers?

I usually dislike Roach, but he's dead on about Campbell.

Manny would murk that bum quickly.

Yeah, those guys wouldn't be at all interested about how Freddie was good mates and learnt his trade from Eddie Futch before taking Virgil Hill to a world title.

They'd much rather you were there to tell them how Manny Pac isn't great becuase he hasn't fought all boxing styles ethnically....
