:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:roflAt Freddie Roach who says he did'nt see the fight.

A day or two before the fight he had said that JMM-Diaz would be a fight he'd pay to watch......
......after what he saw, he now is saying he did'nt see it!
    :lol::lol::lol::lol:

.....and he's not interested in a 3rd match for Manny with JMM!
The way JMM handled the pressure and emphatically put an end to Juan Diaz has could only have established in Roach's mind that JMM will not only handle the weight at 140 lbs......but he fears JMM for Manny that he wont even acknowleadge having watched the fight......

    ......this is hillarious!!!!:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl

Roach was promoting the Hatton/Pacquiao fight in Manchester, it's possible that he didn't see the fight.

That doesnt really sound like Freddie Roach.

Almost monosyllabic and too short and sounds like too basic English. One liners almost. And Roach can be a blabbermouth.

I'd have to see a video of it first, to make sure.

And that article is so amateurish, man. It reads worse than a high school paper's sports section. That site is more of a blog type, and I take all of their reports, positive or negative, with a grain of salt.

I know Michael Marley likes to hang on Manny's nuts often, so I dont take it all as gospel truth.

It's a peculiar site. They love to bait people from both the pro and the anti sides.

They want attention and traffic probably.

Marley likes to write alot of ficticious articles, but not the writer who wrote that piece.....

Like I said, prefight Roach was caught on videotape saying that JMM-Diaz would be a fight he'd pay to see.....and now all of a sudden he does'nt give a damn.

    I wonder whats worrying Roach?:D:lol:

Yeah sure, because Roach has more say on Manny's boxing career than Manny himself who just said he wants Marquez again.

    Here we go again.

Solid win for Marquez, but let's not go crazy here.

Juan Diaz is nowhere near the Top 10 P4P list and recently came off a loss to Nate Campbell where he was DOMINATED.

They will fight a third time because the money will be there, which I think deep down YOU don't want to happen because last year's SD will turn into a UD or KO/TKO the next time around.

Like I said, I read the articles sometimes. Sometimes it's entertaining, even if it smells like total BS.

    Like reading a tabloid.

    "8 eyed monster kidnaps baby!!"

    that type of thing.

I dont believe anything that comes out of that site, unless I see another site supporting the news story.

All their writers have that sensationalism factor going, not just Marley.

I've seen articles there posted by their "writers" that are fluffier than fluff.

They probably were about to hit the deadline and they still have nothing written yet, so they pass this sweet, stupid, patronising (maybe not the right word.. ass licking, maybe?) piece about Pac and his country just to be able to pass something, anything.

    Reading it was embarrasing.

It's not the best place to find good sports journalism, I tell you that.

Unlike Marley, the writer in that article is'nt even trying to be funny or innovative.....he's plain out reporting what Roach had to say to his questions.....

Unless Roach was misquoted, which is impossible to believe in as straightfoward article like that, I've got to believe that what happened between that writer and Roach was real!

I don't really care about what he says right now. Pac-JMM is gonna be one of the biggest money fights that can be done ergo it will always be on the table.

Plus if Pac loses the fight, there's the added bonus that he won't retire immediately and may wish to avenge the loss.

Let's wait for a second source.

That place just screams "HEY HEY! LOOK AT ME!".

If I see a Roach interview and I hear him say that, I'll give props to Marley and his gang.

    But until then, I'm skeptical.

I agree, I think most boxing sites nowdays lack proffesionalism in their writings.....there are too many articles out their written so poorly and with outright bias just to worsen the read.....

.....but I got to say that there is nothing about that article that would tell me that the writer is passing one over on us......there is usually a hint of sarcasm in such articles when that happens....

.....just looks like to me like that a genuine article.

I certainly dont find it hard to believe that Roack would have nothing to say about a great night for boxing when it comes to his rival Beristain, and Pac's rival JMM.....
.....there's nothing hard to believe about that....

I'm certain Roach would have loads to say if we had seen the same great fight but with Diaz emerging the victor!:yep

    Let's not assume things.

    we're all biased here, honestly.

However we try to be balanced, we just automatically tilt to the side that we root for, when things get too close.

I'll wait for a more credible site to report it before I say

"AHA! YOU HEARD THAT!? HE SAID IT! IT'S TRUE! IT'S TRUE!"

That guy was probably the first guy to get to Roach to quote him on what he thought of the fight.

Roach may very well not been in the mood to talk about it.....
.....Roach willing to offer something on the fight to someone else, does'nt mean that this exchange with this writer did'nt happen.

....but I'm willing to wait and see Bula.....I got a feeling you'll see Roach make light of JMM's accomplishment.....its just the kind of attitude and comportment that Roach has had toward others lately.

I used to dislike all you "haters" and "JMM, EM, MAB lovers" back then.

I thought "how could they be so hating and close minded?"

But some years back, when I likened this Pac-JMM rivalry to the Celtics-Lakers of the 1980's, I began to understand it.

BOSTON: "Nothing personal, I just hate your showtime, hollywood run and gun ass and your slickedbacked hair ******* coach. No offense."

LA: "Yeah? we also hate your stupid ass, boring white boy goofy gangrene gang team and your dumbass coach. No offense."

They're just like oil and water. The most rabid and the most deeply passionate fans of either team, they may respect each other and admit that the other one's also great, but they'll never really root for the other side.

Doesnt make them bad fans, in general. It's just such a rivalry. Understandable.
