From the site that hypes fights:

As the topic of performance-enhancing drugs continues to dominate the headlines in several sports, world-class trainer Freddie Roach shared his thoughts on the recent revelation that Floyd Mayweather Jr. has used the painkiller Xylocaine in previous fights, a fact that he’s known for quite some time. What may come as a surprise to some people is that Roach himself has also used the painkiller in the past and doesn’t consider it to be performance-enhancing. “I’m familiar with Xylocaine because I broke my hands many times in my life and I used Xylocaine as a painkiller also. It kills the pain in your hands and it’s not legal, but it’s not a performance-enhancing drug. It just takes the feeling away,” the world-class trainer revealed in a recent interview.
In fact, Roach is so unconcerned about Mayweather’s use of Xylocaine that he wouldn’t even care if he needed to use it in a bout with his star pupil. “You know, I know Floyd has bad hands and so forth, but I’m not worried about him using Xylocaine. He can use whatever he wants. He can’t beat my guy. I don’t care. It’s okay. We’re going to pass every drug test there is because Manny Pacquiao is a clean liver and he doesn’t believe in enhancing drugs,” added the honest and soft-spoken trainer.
Always the master strategist, Roach considers Floyd’s use of Xylocaine as a sign of weakness and it’s one of the reasons why he’s confident that Pacquiao will beat him should they ever meet. “You know, with Floyd using Xylocaine, I know his uncle Roger used it every fight that he ever had because I used to see him inject it in the dressing room. It’s just a painkiller because he does have bad hands; he has fragile hands,” he astutely pointed out, referring to the fact that Mayweather has had problems with his hands for years. “I think that’s part of the reason why we can beat a guy like Floyd because he can’t punch because he has those little hands and Manny Pacquiao will punch holes in him,” Roach remarked with confidence.
It’s interesting to see the vast differences that both camps have in regards to the confidence they exude in their fighters. On one hand, you have Mayweather’s side, who say they’re confident of victory, but at the same time, are paranoid to step in the ring due to their own fear of Pacquiao’s recent success. On the other hand, you have Pacquiao’s side, who’s so confident of victory that they wouldn’t even have a problem with Mayweather using Xylocaine to numb the pain in his brittle hands.

Yet Pacquiao can't accept the 14 day cut-off and takes another fight later that day. Team Pacquiao is oozing in confidence.

They called Roach "honest and soft-spoken" apparently they are on PAC's nuts. He's one of the biggest **** talkers in the business. If PAC was so clean take the test. The last man to question Floyd's ability to punch was Hatton. He asked Floyd when was the last time he knocked someone out and what happened.

Void, Sr. said that he did not want Void, Jr. to fight Pac. He said that right after Pac beat Cotto. Void is afraid of Pac and that's obvious.

yaaaaaaa.... both sides are sooooooooo confident that... oh ****, the fight didnt happen.

Ya they just KNOW they would kick eachothers ass.... thats why they let a couple week difference in negotiations stop the biggest fight in recent HISTORY and the biggest paycheck theyd ever see.

Thats confidence if ive ever seen it

The biggest paycheck top class fighters, A class, ones DREAM about every single MINUTE.

Well even though both people insist that shitting on both is reasonable I think it's more Mayweather's fault. Pac didn't accuse no one of being a cheater nor did he ask to implement new rules for ONE fight. Why didn't they ask Marquez and all the rest to do that?, they have been disrespectful for a long time with this and Pac took it all till they started calling him a damn cheater after putting his life on the line trying to make history for boxing fans.

Like him or hate him Pac remains open minded and still wants to make it even after it's officially off.

    Nonsense.

Floyd retired because Bob Arum had Cotto overprotected alongside Margarito to save them for each other. Anyone rational knows Arum wasn't going to negotiate a fight with Mayweather when even BEFORE Mayweather retired he PUBLICLY announced that Cotto vs Margarito is basically DONE, the only thing that postponed it is Margarito failing against Williams when Cotto passed against Mosley.

I don't expect newbies to know the situations there so here's a quick donation.

To me, PBF is scared of fighting Pac because he and his camp sincerely believe that he is on PEDs. I hate the Mayweather clan, but boxing is in their DNA and I'm inclined to believe their instincts, esp. after Manny's punk ass reaction to their challenge.

Roach tried to get Void to fight Pac right after the Hatton fight, but Void refused! After Pac beat Cotto, Void, Sr. said that he did not want Void, Jr. to fight Pac! Void is void.

here's one from a newbie: floyd should just muster some balls. so many ways to prove other than against manny. if he is good to go he can fight mosley, cotto, or margarito.

otherwise, he's still a feather-fisted chicke$hit to me. so if you wanna adore him i won't stop you :nut
