I think freddie realized this was THE FIGHT and did not want to taint it by fighting in any way a drained fighter....good move...respect to team pac...no excuses for either fighter or their respective fans now...floyd wins fair and square...can NOT wait

I'm not buying the 154 and/or the 10 oz gloves rumors.

Didn't Floyd refer to 10 oz gloves as "pillows" when he fought Oscar?

147 and 8 oz gloves seems logical and reasonable for both fighters.

IMO it would be to Pac's advantage to fight in front of a bigger crowd. Floyds can get people to pay to watch him on TV, but not to go see him live...hence why his "superfight" with JMM couldnt even sell out. If 100,000 fans turns up to Dallas, 80,000 of them will be cheering for Pac. I know they cant fight for him but Floyd being the insecure guy he is, being booed by 80,000 people might just break his concentration a bit.

I actually think floyd's mind thrives on the adversity of the public. he's used to being considered the ******* since his fight with de la hoya. I think if anything, the boos will urge him to put on a master performance. whether he can do that with pacquiao in the opposite corner is an entirely different issue

I dunno, when Max, Larry, Kenny questions him the guy just looses it and cant think straight. Heck he even started crying press conference cos of the boos...he clearly doesnt like being critisized, yet alone booed by 50k+ fans... Not saying tha tmany will boo him, but hey if hes playing the villain...

that all adds fuel to his fire. floyd is very mentally strong when it comes to his ability, unfortunately his upbringing is what triggers his reaction to criticism. all of the men in his family who are in the public eye react that way. when it comes to the ring though, and training, floyd feeds his psyche with the negative opinions of others. booing floyd either plays into his hands or has no effect on him. ****, when that brawl broke out between both camps IN the ring during the judah fight, you can see floyd calmly standing in the corner while sheer chaos involving his own family members ensues. floyd is really a rock. he still hasnt learned to react to criticism when he's outside the ring though

I wonder if Floyd Snr will be around for this fight? Well all know what he is like, he will speak his mind & its not the first time he & Roach have come up against each other!

To a certain extent, I do think Roach is trying to make it as though Floyd is wanting this & that. Before the Cotto fight, Roach was saying Floyd does not want to face Manny etc. I reckon camp Pacquiao are some-what surprised by how quickly Floyd has agreed to the deal & to fight!

I have said many times, if Mayweather beats Pacquiao, people better give him the praise such a victory deserves because no doubt they will if Manny wins! It has to work both ways though!
