I remember following closely back then and never bumped into anything like this. Hope I'm wrong but there isn't a single Mayweather quote demanding/hinting for a catchweight.

There are rumors about everything, doesn't mean it's official.

Roach knows Pacquiao ain't **** that's why he wants every advantage.Won't be surprised if he will try to get Wladmir Klistchko to 142 for a fight with Pacquiao and call it a heavyweight fight so Pacquiao can be the first Asian heavyweight champion.

There are no sources. These guys are desperate and bored enough to create their own sources/links now.

Scar, you asked BE if he dreamed up this thing about Mayweather-Oscar being at a 150 catchweight. I was just pointing out that he wasn't dreaming it, because there were actually talks of it being at 150. Not sure if Mayweather himself ever came out and said "150", but it [the catchweight fight] was being talked about.

whoupicking, go back to sleep. :hi:

But, according to Boxingsensei (a Mayweather fan ;)), Mayweather actually wanted 147. Not 150. :conf

Just waiting for him to confirm that.

So not even one quote confirming 150. Great source. As expected mayweather did not ask for no bull**** 150 catchweight.

Rumour also had mayweather fighting Matthew Hatton, Malignagi, Guererro, Spadafora and Morales.

    Are you stupid?

Where have I said "Mayweather said he wanted 150"?

I said there were "rumours" and "talks" of it being there; as evident by Schaefer himself acknowledging it right there in that ESPN link I've provided.

Not a single quote confirming anything, it's all speculation coming out of Schaefer. Even Mayweather his self doesn't know what weight it could be at. There isn't a single quote suggesting or hinting any of Mayweather's demands/requests.

Although De La Hoya has said he planned to return to the welterweight division and Mayweather is the welterweight world champion, Schaefer said the weight for a rematch hadn't been determined. He said it could be at a catch weight somewhere between the 147-pound welterweight division and 154-pound junior middleweight class.

Exactly. Which means nothing was confirmed and Schaefer was guessting/speculating.

    Dead discussion.

    :patsch For crying out loud.

Me: "There were rumours/talks of it being at a catchweight"
    You: "No there wasn't"
Me: "There were. Look, here are some links"
    You: "Exactly, they're just rumours/talks"
Me: "THAT'S WHAT I'M ****ING SAYING"

And usually, rumours/talks don't just come out of thin air. If a man like Schaefer, who's knee-deep in the negotiations, confirms there are/were discussions about it, then it means, you know, that it was being talked about. That's all I'm saying.
