Roach: "Pacquiao's Best Weight Is 140, He'll Never fight At 147 Again"

I agree, Pacman right now is perfect at 140. I'd like to see him against Nate Campbell or Joan Guzman to close out his career.

 

Yeah the welterweights are too big for him. The only fight i see Pacquiao move up to 147 is against PBF because he himself is not a big welterweight.

I hate when they ask Roach a prediction. Of course he is gonna say Manny.

 

Weren't there some *******s that thought manny could beat Cotto, Mosely and Margo. lol

 

Real guys are too big at 147 for him... he weighed 148.5 on fight night against DLH .... Guys like Cotto / Mosley come into the ring around 160.

 

San, we all know that Roach is basically saying, "Floyd, we'll fight you at 140, not 147". Arum probably told Roach to say that anyway.

 

I'm actually glad to see that Freddy is so balanced and is strong enough resist giving too much up to make these big fights.

I felt like in his negotiations with Floyd Ricky Hatton gave away too many advantages unecisarily. Good fighters need people around them who have their best interests at hart and aren't too eager to set themselves up for a beating just to get a career payday.

 

Roach has always cared alot for his fighters.

 

Well Hatton is still untested at 140 so we don't know if his best weight is actually there.

It's a little pathetic that guys like Cotto and Mosely are wanting to fight PAC just for a payday.

I have been saying this before Roach . . . the top 147 pounders will send Pacquiao to retirement. :deal

 

147 is asking too much of Pac. Roach is a smart man and knows that team Pacquiao has all the leverage in negotiations. If the top welters want to fight Pac they will have to do so on his terms and fight at 140 or a catch weight.
