He understood Cotto has mileage yet saw where he could make some adjustments in his conditioning training.

More importantly....Roach instilled confidence in Cotto that he had lost after the Margarita loaded wraps beatdown.

Time changes many things but even a year in boxing can sometimes reveal extreme changes within the landscape of the top teir competitors. Roach says a lot of things....most of which you have to take with a grain of salt becuase you have think who this guy is....he's always got an angle when talking about his fighters of opponents of his fighters. Boxing is just as much mental as it is physical and Freddie plays both sides of the fence extremely well ....not to mention Roach is just a d*ck. he's got a massive ego and says what's on his mind most of the time.

he basically said they ducked shane after he beat margacheato....he said floyd couldnt stand in front of shane to beat him....he had to get on his bike...then when floyd stood in front of shane he said floyds legs were gone after the fight....

hed probably be saying different things about cotto were he not training him recently....
