There are plenty of cases where experienced guys have sparred bigger fighters and smaller fighters and claimed the smaller fighters hit harder. Anyone thats been around boxing knows that 9/10 the clearly smaller fighter doesn't actually punch harder, it just means that they were caught by the smaller fighters harder than they were the bigger guys. I've heard LHW's claim the same between GGG and Povetkin. Obviously GGG can't actually punch harder than Povetkin when they both load up, it's just that GGG was able to land and catch those guys with better shots than Povetkin. Someone mentioned Hearns earlier.......... Pacman in no way shape or form bangs harder Hearns did.
Evander Holyfield was asked one time who hit harder, Mike Tyson or George Foreman. He claimed neither hit harder than the other and replied that being hit by Tyson was like being in a car and getting hit head on by a sports car traveling full speed while Foreman hit like a train going much slower. One of the best analogies I've heard describing the impact of punches between two massive bangers.
Sorry my error, Roach simply said he got hit by Wlad and Mike doing pad work. This content is protected
He also said Tyson`s punches were easier to evade because Foreman threw more straight punches which are harder to block than shots that come around like Mike threw often against a covered up Holy.
