You can imagine the preparation for the fight.

Freddie Roach: "Okay Manny, we're going to utilize this punch in the Hatton fight. It's the key to you winning"

*Shows him a video of fighters throwing the right hook*

Manny Pacquiao "What the hell is this?"

What Roach meant was Manny was only a left handed puncher back then, he was not well rounded. But that left hand was so effective that he was still successful fighting two handed fighters.

Manny had a weaker, overextending, loose punching right hand back then. In flurries, it could still hurt you, but it was a liability when he tried to patiently box.

They practiced the right hand over and over until it felt natural for Manny to throw it accurately, with speed, power and snap. So now, he's very confident using his right hand more, rather than just relying on one big left handed bomb. His offense becomes more unpredictable and harder to check now.

its easy to have a gameplan against a fighter who makes mistakes and who has already been exposed some way or another ... but what kinda game plan you going against Floyd? ... he hasn't been exposed ... 39 have tried and none have succeeded and to my recolection he hasn't fought anyone near the skill level of Mayweather ... has he beat an elite undefeated fighter before?

Whatever it takes.. Mayweather isn't someone that just can't be beaten.. Roach is a mastermind when it comes to training and he'll have Pac ready.. This is going to be a forever going argument until they actually do fight.. Like I said, don't doubt Pac.. When Pac's the underdog, thats when he does best..

Hes not predictable anymore Fitz. Pacquiao has steped it up big time. and He can make adjustments, I dont remeber what round it was against JMM in the 2nd fight, but he got cut in that round and didnt know what to do. The next round he came out and adjusted to the cut thats was bleeding like hell, and won the next round. it might've been round 8 or 9. I think pacquiao has got alot better, and the only person I see beating him is Mayweather and nobody else. and that will be a very tough fight for Mayweather

Mayweather has faced problems before.. Castillo and even Judah for the first few rounds.. Mayweather has problems with fast, southpaw fighters and whos a better fast, southpaw fighter than Pac? And what if Floyd gets hurt from a big left hand? How will he react? Pac's one of the best finishers in this sport..

Roach isn't that good of a trainer ... he was never a winner as a fighter ... and really not successful at all as a trainer ... he's not able to adjust either ... you see what happened in the FLoyd vs DLH fight ... okay son ... time to throw that jab son ...get on your toes son ... he wasn't telling him how to get back into the fight ...

He's no defferent from Jack Lowe ... all the respect to those trainers but they're just getting to that level ... and when they face adversity they don't know what to do ... which causes their fighters to fail.

So roach isn't going to be an important factor in this case.

For a predictable fighter with a left hand and right hook who does not know how to make adjustments he sure is impressive, you should put a little more thought into your thread's before you post because (no offense) but your coming off as a person who is not very smart and knows little about boxing sorry.
