Who bashed him? I simply pointed out what the plan is for him.

That's a bunch of bull****. It's called GBP doesn't want their guy to get beat before they can get a return on their investment.

Bradley has been widely criticised for not fighting Devon

Khan should've been fought this guy. His own promoter paid Maidana not to enforce his mando status for a year. Maidana is available for a fall fight. We'll see what happens.

And why should he be criticised for this?

This is more bull****. Don't let these promoters and fighters brainwash you.

You're telling me you won't be criticizing Khan if he did this?

Are you telling me, GBP will invest so much money, time, and effort in a foreign fighter - only for them to have no confidence in his potential to take on and beat the best of 140? He's still needs work doing; therefore it's perfectly reasonable for GBP to bide their time with him, and let him loose when he's ready.

I'm not asking people to criticise Bradley, I just want people to realize that he (as well as others) too is not committing to the big 140 fights so soon.

That was at a time when Khan hadn't even been introduced to the US market; hence the choice to take on Paulie (a very well known fighter) for his first bout on foreign soil. So yeah, we'll see what the reaction will be when Khan finally does face him, and beats him.

Again, I'm not asking anyone to direct their criticism at Alexander. Refer to the Bradley point.

I think I spoke to you about this before, in which I said I'll admit and hold my hands high, if these fights don't take place. I maintain this stance

Alexander is fighting Kotenik because no one else in the division has the balls to fight him. He's been calling out Bradley nearly every day, Judah turned the fight down, Khan goes death when Alexander's name is mentioned.

Everyone's running from Devon right now

Maybe there is something to Roach keeping his fighters away from young black Americans eh?

If you listen to what Maidana actually says this is, at best, unknown. He says he doesn't even know whether he has a contract with GBP. He also says that it was his decision, advised by his manager, not to enforce his mandatory with Khan.

We know that he turned down a fight with Bradley and that his alledged back injury was made up. No-one knows if he is available for a fight anytime at the moment.

"So, Marcos Maidana is at issue with his manager, Mario Margossian Maidana told me about these issues, and I was rather shocked with what's going on there. But he's perfectly happy with Golden Boy, and we have an existing contract with him and no intentions of breaking that."

    -Richard Schaefer

Maidana does in fact have a contract with GBP and GBP did in fact make a deal with him not to enforce his mando against Khan for 3 fights or a year, whichever came first. There are quotes from Schaefer himself where he gives the typical answer of how it was done because the fight needs to be built up.

Alot of people have already decided that they dislike Amir Khan and they will find ways to discredit him whether he fights 3 lightweights or whether he beats Alexander, Bradley, and Maidana back to back.

They did the same to Cotto when he fought Quintana, Judah, Mosley, Margo, Clottey, Pacquiao, etc. people still claimed he was protected.

Maybe you can ring Maidana and let him know.

I clashed a lot if times with Darni but he is spot on about Khan at the moment. I criticized him in the past but he's fought good fights and deserves the praise he's getting now. If he doesn't fight Bradley, Maidana or Alexander next, who cares? It would be good, yes, but this is a hot division and the big fights shouldn't be pissed away. They won't be either and you can't hate the boxers for it; None of their promoters want the big fights to happen now, I guarentee that, regardless of any public quotes. They'll cone out and say "we want ____ in our next fight!" but they realise they can make 10x the amount in a few years, so they'll hold back. You think the big four want each other next, when they know they can have a couple of easy fights and make a lot more cash in a short while?

It's just a business. All this crying, accusing boxers of ducking or whatever, is ****ing ridiculous.

    Tell me about it..

Stylisticly YES... Prescott Beat the Dog **** out of Khan... there is nearly no way we see him in the ring with anyone that black or athletic.. lol.. Maybe a a Kendall Holt but even that **** is dangerous... but I give Khan the edge in that fight.. But Devon Alexander's is slowly being brainwashed out of Kahn's head.. He is trying to line up some paydays at 23, 24, maybe 25 until he fights someone who could possibly own him.. (Alexander, Bradley, Madana)
